Someone posted in this thread earlier on that the first book with no extras at all, was cheaper than the released RRP price but not massively more in it's final item Padma. This kickstarter ends on the 3rd April so if you do have the funds before then, you still have time. But you can get in shops later in the year anyway whatever

Thanks Spiffo! I had got the first one through Kickstarter, but am going through a move and a bit strapped for cash...! I am sure others have wondered as well, so this information is useful to have here in the thread

With kickstarter - just FYI - the money will not be taken from your account until the day it is fully funded. I'm not SURE - but it might not even be taken till the day the campaign closes. I can't remember now !

Funny you should mention it. I had offered to help out with that, after a wee discussion about one of their other books but in the end it was such a rush to get it out on time that it was left to Sasha - who was also very short of time. I have already made my views known VERY LOUDLY to LoS.

Personally, I don't mind some typos. The only thing that really bothers me is the word 'sephirot'. They use it in 'Correlations' block of the Minor Arcana's section as if it's singular. I mean this: Number... Sephirot... Element... Planet... etc. Every word is in its singular form except 'Sephirot'. If a reader doesn't know about the Tree of Life, one could decide it's the correct form and then write 'Sephirots'. The real singular form of the word is 'Sephirah' (or 'Sephira' as written in the Crowley's 'The Book of Thoth').

I guess it's some old made once and then copy-pasted mistake (at least the plural form was used in the Russian version of the partwork, too) and hope they will not repeat it in the future volumes.

I did mind the constant incorrect use of Arcanum and Arcana in vol 1. - switching from one to the other as well. Arcana is plural, Arcanum is the singular and if you can't get it right - call it a major, or a trump !!!)

And their worst EVER (Not counting Lee Buster, which was funny - and the boxes reading Sweet Twiligth; I have several !) seems to have actually been down to Mark McElroy in one chapter of the Lo Scarabeo book - throughout that chapter he wrote, Ettellia (sic !) was spelt wrong. As this was not the case anywhere else in the book, I can only think he submitted it that way A shame no-one picked it up.

I wonder if they would have a second edition of Tarot Fundamentals that have corrected all the misspells. After all, beginners might get confused with the spellings.

Typos

LoS made some errors with singular/plural on the description of a few of their decks. I overlook it as English isn't their first language, and the cards and LWBs are multi-lingual but if a book is being released in English, then it really ought to have most of these errors ironed out!

As I recall, that is an option. I THINK it came when we were asked to confirm shipping details.

I like the way Benebell Wen did it with her 'Holistic Tarot'. On her site there is a section called 'Amendments to Text' where she lists some mistakes for readers to correct in their copies and some notes to hand-write in the margins.

Also, I know that in the past there was practice to put in a book a sheet with a list of noticed errors (at least some publishers in Russia did that). So there is no need to correct the text in the book itself. In our age of emails and printers there is an option to send such a list to everyone who backed the project so that they could print it and add to the book.
