I have wanted to purchase a copy of the William Blake Tarot for a while now. Does anyone here own and use this deck and what are your thoughts concerning this deck? I understand that this deck is very hard to find, but is it worth the hefty price on its head? thanks in advance.

This is a great deck for certain things. I've been using it for about 6 months now. You can get a copy from the author, Ed Buryn, by emailing EdBurynBooks@JPS.NET

This is one of my newer decks, and I have a favorable impression of it although I haven't done a reading with it yet. I ordered it from the author like Dave told you. Mr. Buryn even signed the book for me. :)
The only card that upset me a bit was the Innocence card, which corresponds to The Fool. Not a typical card to upset someone, is it. ;) LOL... But on this particular card, the little dog has *leaped* off the cliff and is heading straight toward the open mouth of a crocodile. Being an animal lover, this was quite a shock. ;) However, after reading the author's interpretation of this, I felt somewhat better.
The crocodile is half dragon and half serpent and embodies mystical and magical knowledge. The dog senses this and leaps in with all four feet, so to speak. The dog represents instinct. "Although dangerous, the only way to encounter him (the crocodile) is to leap into his element, crossing the threshold from potentiality to actuality."
This deck has a bit of a different approach which is explained in Mr. Buryn's book. I'm hoping to get some time to get acquainted with this deck this summer after school's out. I am in a new teaching assignment this year, so I've acquired several decks and am anticipating summer break with glee. :)
I think it's a deck worth checking out at least for collecting's sake even if one doesn't decide to read with it.
