I got this deck in a trade a month or so ago. What's kind of strange is I wasn't even aware that I wanted it, but when I saw it listed for trade I knew it had to be mine. LOL
When I got it we clicked right away. Which is strange in itself because this deck is black (really grey) and white (I like bright colored decks) and the minors are just pips (I hate that). But everything just worked.
Well after a week or so of working with it I got a flash picture in my head of this deck all dog earred - the edges bent and the white color turned greyish from ALOT of use.
I was like...wait a minute this deck is new! So I decided to ask it if we had worked together before and as I was shuffling it the 10 of cups popped out of the deck!!!!! I got goosebumps!
Just a strange story I thought I'd pass along. :)

Wow - cool! :D Thanks for sharing FaunaBay!
Just goes to show that despite having a ten page list of an ideal deck... if a deck chooses you, it must be ideal!
Enjoy your new deck :p

Wow! Having a deck find you like that really is a blessing!
Enjoy it!

Please accept my admiration, Diana. I hope to get to this point with pips someday... :)

I have bought several decks, years ago, when I didn't know the horrible deception of U.S.Games which leads them to NEVER specify the unillustrated pips on the box. . . and before I learned that any really honest bookstore would have a sample deck to look at, etc...
One deck I've not heard discussed on these threads at all was my absolute exclusive deck for reading for myself and others for two years. . .The Merlin Tarot. From this deck I learned to love the non-illustrated pips; especially in the solar ray spread (deck is by R.J.Stewart, and the book is really well written, the ray spread is one he designed to go with the deck)
I wonder if this deck is familiar to any of you? If you check out the way the pips are done, maybe you'll see why they were the only ones w/out pix to ever love me (I mean. . . well, you get it, I'm sure)
Opposing side: In those early years I also bought Tarot of the Witches. Now
there are some pip cards that prove you all's point 1000 times over.
Triple Yuck.
