Do you mean like for example the Thoth deck? For its day it was very individual/expressionist. It was so different from the Rider Waite or the Golden Dawn and didn't touch on the Marseille type decks at all, except that there are no pictures on the pips but then again you can't really call them pips either. I've always found it strange that there are so many Rider Waite clones around but not so many based on the Thoth.
I've probably got the wrong idea of your post lol but I've always found the thoth deck to be very expressive.

The Inncer Child Cards has a rather Monet feel to them, rich oil painting types based upon fairy tales. Is this the kind style that you are looking for?

actually, the reason why i posted this is because i was looking for a more "van gogh" looking tarot deck, where the storkes and the colors are really appealing. :)
