If you click here, you can see artwork for as-yet-unfinished decks by Robert Place, the artist for the Alchemical Tarot, the Angels Tarot, and the Tarot of the Saints. Go to the menu on the left and click on "Art Prints," then click on each of the pictures that you see. This stuff is great!

Yes, they're beautiful! I love the Celtic prints (more mermaids! ;)), especially the one that's called Tara.

curious how the buddha tarot will look like when it's finished.
i like place's decks, the only one not appealing is the angel tarot.

Thanks for the link Lee!
I love the idea of a Buddah tarot and am interested to see what the Minors will look like in this deck...
I really love that :TWOR World card for the proposed Celtic Deck too...

I don't think I could justify getting it, but the Vampire is really very well done. Certainly more appealing than the other Vampire Tarot...

The Buddha one won't be out till next year? Awww Man! :(
The vampire one has a couple of cards that are alright, I like the Luna one, but others are drawing from the same traditional stuff from all the "famous" vampire folklore (blood drippings, biting the neck) that I have seen so many times over with vampire related stuff.

What else would you have vampires doing? Playing badminton?

Yeah! A good round of bat-miton! Can't you see them....satin capes flowing in the wind, racket in hand? Bat shaped birds in the net?
I think alot of my griping comes from the lack of non-European based vampire-type folklore out on the market, in tarot or otherwise.
I'll even concede a point to White Wolf (begrudgingly) for at least developing the Kindred of the East themes, and I usually don't delve into my husband's WW library. It is at least different (survival by taking chi instead of blood). Stoker created alot fo the cliches that artists today get stuck around, almost like they have not read any other vampire literature otherwise......

Thanks for the link. I am in love with Pre-Raphaelite art. The tarot prints are also great. The Buddha tarot is fascinating, too.
Namaste,
Debins.
