Yesterday I had the pleasure to get 2 new decks among which the Wiliam Blake deck. I still have had no time to work with it, just looked it through twice and got the impression that it will give me some new ideas about tarot.
Who else has this deck and what is your opinion?

If the hobo librarian proposes it...and if anyone were that trusting ( surely we of the tribe would be)
I would contribute some of the many new purchases to a lending library...???
And on that note...I have always wanted the W Blake- it is so expensive.
Congratulations on a really wonderful deck...if you get the chance- rent or buy the movie about W Blake in another life w/J Depp ( give him a chance- he is great in this)
Shot in glorious black and white in 1999 or so..called "Dead Man" I think...
Enhances the Blake experience
(hint hint - so would the deck...am I still second in line if there were a line?)

Thanks for the comment about the movie, it really sounds worth watching it.
No chance to get hands on my W. Blake deck, fellows :P . I have put it in my collector's shelf. It took me almost a year to get it but the longer I have to search for a deck the more I enjoy it when I finally got it.

I got the W Blke eck for my birthday from my boyriend...
This is the only ever Tarot deck to make me CRY. Icried because the artwork, Blake's writing, and the bacground to the deck are amazing, working in a wonderful synthesis which Blake himself would be proud of.
Abeautful deck, but maybe one needs to be familar with Blake a little first! Hoever, the book that comes with it does well in giving you a good background to Blake.
Definitely a collector's deck, and one for any Blake fan.

i've got the blake deck, too. beautiful deck but i'm finding i need to re-familiarize myself w/ his poetry to really get into it. i have a book all ready w/ his poetry in it. i found a beautiful book w/ blake's poetry and artword at a barnes and noble for $15. i was running short on money so i didn't get it. i've been kicking myself since b/c the images are the same ones that are on the deck. i will procure it on my next visit! i haven't spent the time it's needs to get to know it but i hope to once it gets cooler.

i don't know if i can trust my eyes. but i found the william blake tarot cards in a swedish net-shop and very cheap too - just a around $40.00 for the set so of course i had to order it. now i just hope that it is not just a case of the shop not updating their pages...
i really cannot afford this one at all. i will have to borrow from my mother... but it might be worth it. i saw prices at ebay for over $100.00 for this one.
(not that i think i will sell or trade it away)
now i just hope they indeed have the deck, want to sell it to me and that they won't send it to me until next month:)
(when i can afford it better)

Wow, I had no idea this deck was getting so hard to find. I ordered mine directly from Ed Burns (spelling?) after receiving some help from members here a while back. There's been other threads on this deck too. It's a stunningly beautiful deck. I don't work with it much yet though; I'm still trying to learn meanings and got the collecting bug early. It's one deck I am EXTREMELY happy to have though, that's certain.

it's taken me a while to find the copy of the book on blake i mentioned last summer but at last i have. i've never read all blake's poetry and didn't know about his art until becoming familiar w/ the deck. this book of his poetry is a wonderful compliment to the wm blake tarot deck. it's illustrated in full color. on the inside cover there is a statement that indicates that this is a reproductionin the original size of blake's illuminated book. i highly recommend it. when i finish the book i think i'll be able to get into this deck better.
"Songs of Innocence and of Experience" . published by oxford university press. ISBN 0-19-281089-8
i got my copy from barnes and noble.

Ok, here is your chance to hate me! *s*... my re-introduction into tarot was about 4 years ago when I was browsing my Borders outside discount book displays and I came across the William Blake Tarot for... (ok, here's where you faint) $5!!! Being an English teacher and lover of Blake's work, I grabbed it (you know, if I had foresite, I would have grabbed a couple more decks). The deck renewed my fascination with the tarot. I had gotten several U.S. Games decks in my youth, but after purchasing a tarot book which was worse than a physics textbook, I got turned off.
And also hate me for the fact that I don't use it very often. Haven't looked at it in almost a year. Time to dust it off. (Feels the envy karma waves traveling my way now)
If it is still running, there was a web site that did three card readings and gave you the option of using the Wm Blake tarot. I will see if I still have a bookmark for the site when I get home.
Peace

I think www.facade.com is one of the web sites with free readings where the W. Blake deck is also used as a reading deck.

YES! that's it... I just linked to the site and did a relationship reading about myself and a co-worker whom I like and the results were almost scary!
I have forgotten that the William Blake tarot is a deck for creative spirits, especially artists and writers, and being a writer, I need to reconsult this deck.
Thank you for this thread! Seems this was a current in the stream of the universe that lead me somewhere I needed to go.
Peace
