Nefertari deck - 19 cards with misprints

Hi folk,

I don't know if some of you who also own the Nefertari deck have remarked that there are misprints in the name of the cards. The golden letters are in some cards completely rubbed of or somehow smeared.

Does the gold foil rub of or is this just a flaw in this deck I got?

I will reorder the Nefertari and ask my book shop to replace the deck I have for another one.

You could also write the publisher and ask them to replace the cards. I think any good publisher should be willing to do this - it sounds like it's them (or their printers) who goofed.

*wishes you luck*

Hi pentunen (Welcome to the forum, B/W),

I think I will contact the publisher when the other deck will also have flaws. It's easier for me to walk in the book store ans order another one and have them the one with goofs sent to the publisher instead of writing a complaint to the publisher, sending the cards, etc.

Hi Catlin, Nefertari is on the top of my wishlist. I love all the gold foil and the tomb paintings. I'm curious about where you ordered your deck from because I'm considering buying this deck soon. I don't want to buy it if there are all those errors in it though. Let me know how you make out and if Lo Scarabeo replaces your deck. Did the 19 errors all have to do with the foil rubbing off?

Caitlin you might want to pm Truthsayer and ask her about this deck. I know it is her favorite deck, and raves about it, so something tells me that what happened to your deck is not normal. My experience with going directly to a publisher with a problem and having a deck replaced was very positive and I have heard that from others here at the forum as well. Good luck in getting a replacement soon!

Hi Caitlin

I can tell you that I have had my deck for several months and although I don't use it for readings often the goild foil is still perfect on my deck. It does sound like just a printing oppsie.

I will get my other Nefertari deck by tomorrow. I hope this will be ok, without printing goofs.

As this deck is distributed by a German publisher (under licence of LoScarabeo), it is pretty easily available here. For those among you living in the USA, I think you either try Amazon, B & N or maybe Llewellyn.

Got another deck in perfect condition! Yay, this Nefertari is just gorgeous.

I say keep the misprinted ones too, at the risk of sounding businesslike, that would probably be collectable if kept in good conditions.

Hi V. Gargoyle,

As I did not want to have 2 decks in the prize range of $ 40 each, I returned the one with the misprints to the book shop and they sent it back to the publisher so no chance of keeping the misprints and hoping they will increase in value.
