Pet Owner's Tarot and...

Hello! Does anyone know how or where I can get the information I need to order the "Pet Owner's Tarot"? It is a cute deck and I want to introduce tarot to a sister of mine using that deck. Also, I can't remember the name of the deck that uses fairy tale characters. I'm not finding it this time in the listing of decks. As I recall, the Death card uses Sleeping Beauty. Those are two decks I really want to get. Thanks for the help. Lottie

Hi! I don't know anything about the Pet-Owner's Tarot, but the fairy tale tarot with Sleeping Beauty as Death is the Whimsical Tarot by Mary Hanson-Roberts and Dorothy Morrison. I'd make sure to get the book with it, though. Some of the fairy tales illustrated are rather obscure and the book is the only place to see which fairy tale goes with which card. There's another one dealing with pets, with the Towers card showing a tabby cat taking a swipe at the actual tower. I tried to find it, but couldn't, and it was the better of the three, one I did like quite a bit. Even doing a quick search through the Aeclectic deck lists didn't turn it up. If you wanted to see another animal deck, there's the Animal Wise Tarot at: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/animalwise/index.html But it shows wild animals too, not just pets. Sure! I found it at this URL: http://www.aintnocreek.com/spike/gifts.htm It's $17.95, they list it almost near the bottom, the item number is 69-01 It wasn't on ebay or www.half.com, looks like it's got an unknown publisher (probably self published). I didn't do a search on the author's name though. Maybe they have their own web site & sell directly fromt here. But at least it IS available, and for under $20. Luck!

Oh Lottie! I found the other one I was thinking of...it's expensive though, at $125 a deck because it's self published...... But hey, check it out! http://www.tarotpassages.com/animalpg.htm You'll see the Tower card right there & can click on the other cards, it used to be a majors only deck for $40, now it's entirely fleshed out.

Hello Hudson Gray, This is where I stand regarding the Pet Owner's Tarot by Elisabeth McIvor and 78 cards. That is the deck shown here on Aeclectic Tarot. I called aintnocreek.com to make sure that the deck was in stock. NO! They had just sold the last deck and were thinking about not carrying it anymore. They have had it in their inventory for 2 years. The lady did say that she would see what she could do and I gave her my email address so that she could send me an update. I doubt if I will hear from her very soon. I asked if they could special order it for me. NO! Why? Because they have to order about $250 worth when they order. So, that tells me that it IS somewhere but where? What would you suggest now? I did a search but I'm probably not as hep as you are regarding searches. I will keep trying. My heart is broken. Boo Hoo! I'll never give up. Lottie

I can't find it anywhere else online, can you call the shop owner back & ask who her supplier is & what their phone number is? If you can get hold of them they can tell you who last ordered it from them & you can call there. That's the best I can think of right now, since it's got an unknown publisher your best bet is to go through whoever she ordered it from. The artist/designer doesn't have a web page online.
