I'm not usually into fantasy art, but this unpublished deck is looking really stunning:
http://www.rubysasylum.co.uk/Html/Tarot.htm
The deck is based on the original Wraeththu Trilogy by Storm Constantine, but even if you're not into the books, the deck is really attractive and full of symbolism. If you like the Vampire Tarot, you'll really love Ruby's deck.
I really like the Pre-Raphaelite influence :)
I hope that like my own deck, this deck can be published based on the lobbying of fans. Count me as one!

I like them too. Solandia has them listed here on aeclectic and I saw them quite a while ago.
I like the dark images!! I'll be really interested to see the rest of the cards and probably will get the deck when it's finally released. :D

wonderful technique! and, I really like the narrow card proportions, which gives this deck a subliminally ethereal feel.
I don't know if I'd read with this deck, but boy, I'd sure want one.

I like this deck much better than the Vampire (could not bring myself to order it). I only read one volume of the Wraeththu Chronicles as they are not well known in Germany.
BTW how do you pronounce "Wraeththu"?

I like the dark images as well. I also like that there is a triology being released ... I look forward to reading the books, THEN getting the deck :)

Thanks to retrokat for making me delurk!
...and thanks too, to the peeps that have taken a look at the images I'm working on. The Wraeththu (pronounced RAY- thoo) Tarot is based on the original Wraeththu trilogy of novels by Storm Constantine (www.StormConstantine.com).
The deck is in collaboration with Storm (who has many years experience in Tarot reading) and we both were hoping the deck would be ready - and a publisher found - by the time the first book in the new trilogy came out. Now as 'real life' got in the way of the deck's progress for a year and the book is out May 2003 AND we still haven't got a publisher - that isn't looking likely. But I'm back at work on it now, send me good vibes please!
Anyway, hello everyone.....now I've come out of the shadows I hope to start posting as often as I can.

Hey Ruby! Welcome to the boards!!! :D
*throws rainbows in the air*
A new marvellous deck creator has joined us! :D
As others above, I really like the cards released so far, and I hope you will find a publisher as soon as possible, and that you will have the same massive responce that Kat had! :)
Actually, I am doubtful about my willingness to read the books... *LOL*
But I would definitely get the deck all the same! :D
((( Sending Vibes )))

Back again already - ok so this place is addictive! Seriously, I know I'm going to find so much help and inspiration here (indeed I already have) and if I am quiet it's only because I'm reading each and every thread...oh and working on my tarot images too, of course!

Ruby... I guess I'll have to jump on the bandwagon here and say that I too loved your Wraeththu Tarot so far. The art work is beautifully dark and stunning. Keep it up... looking forward to getting it when it's published...
Welcome to the forums, I'm very much looking forward to further posts from you.
