Okay... whose bright idea was it to turn me into a Tarotholic anyway??? }) I was driving through downtown on Thursday and, miracle of miracles, there was a parking place right in front of the new-age shop! Well... I'm not one to waste an opportunity like that! Anyway... I went in thinking to replenish my supply of hematite stones (for weighting down cards) as I have a tendency to give them away. Picked out several of them and decided to "just look" at the Tarot decks. Well... they still had a few copies of a deck I'd been wanting for a while... The Goddess Tarot. Well... since I had a few extra dollars burning a hole in my pocket... I had to get it. :D
7 decks now... 1 on the way... And for so many years I just thought I only needed one... })

I see that the forum has seeped into you! Good luck with the new deck. Will you still be a Rohriger though?

LOL... to paraphrase: "They can have my Röhrig Tarot when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers..."
I find that the Röhrig Tarot is very good for exploring the subconscious and deeper aspects of a question or problem. And the modern images appeal different people than the Goddess or the other decks I have. The Goddess Tarot is, I think, going to be a very good deck for many other reasons. Besides... the lack of nudity will be good for persons who would be otherwise be uncomfortable.

That's great about getting the new deck, Trogon. I just ordered the Nigel Jackson, which will be my fifth deck! :) I too have become a tarotholic since discovering this forum. I have discovered the value of having different decks - amazing how many different versions of the tarot there are. I hope to hold off on buying any more for the time being...but I have a few more on my list, including "Tarot of Paris" - the artwork looks simply incredible!

Although I'm not complaining, I had just 2 tarot decks before discovering this forum.( the Rider Waite and the Morgan Greer)After coming to this forum and reading about all the beautiful decks and viewing the samples of the decks I now have at least 12 decks and about that many on my wish list. I just added the Gendron deck to my collection. I saw it at Borders books and asked the Lady if she could open the case so I could look. As she stood there and watched me she became interested and started looking at the decks too. oops! I think I got her started. I'm not good when it comes to guessing age but I think she was about 60.
