I had read a previous thread on The Oracle Tarot by Lucy Cavendish when it was released. .. A question to those that purchased it and have used it for awhile - what do you think?...
I bought this deck bc it reminded me of a Doreen Virtue deck but in Tarot form. I'm just wondering if you get good readings from it? Do you think it reads like a Tarot or more like an oracle deck? Do you think the card meanings in the minors are still comparable to a regular Tarot?
Thank you!!!

I've used it once or twice. It's beautiful- no doubt, but I really really miss the court cards, and I find the keywords just too limited and restrictive.

I saw this deck for about £10 in my local WH Smiths and was very tempted but I too was put off by the lack of court cards (even though I find those pesky courts very difficult). I`d like to know what others think of it as well.

Yes, the deck IS really beautiful and positive. My problem is that I am a beginner to Tarot and I'm wondering if the deck is enough "non-tarot" that it will confuse my learning in the long run.
Its like Tarot "light"... :o) ... maybe it would be better to approach it more like an Oracle for now.

dolphinprincess,
That might work for you, actually. I had this deck for a little while, and it indeed struck me as a good beginner set.
A compromise might be to study this deck alongside a very standard deck and a good, basic tarot guide.
