Catlin,
Hey, your box is full!
I can ship the Ferret Tarot deck to Germany via one of those $5 envelopes since it's only about 4 ounces total & it'll fit inside one of them. So figure $5 for mailing.
Hey folks! The Ferret Tarot is available now & able to be shipped. We picked it up from the printers & I've got the pouches made, so it's all ready to go!

O those ferrets are really cute !
What a nice idea to send a bag with the deck (although I am a "compulsive bag-maker" myself).
I will send you a pm when I am ready to order because I really think I will want one.
Hudsongray this must be an exciting time for you - congrats on the birth of your deck !

Thanks! She said it was going to come out soon, it must have been just posted (she let me see it a week ago).
I'm pleased. She only had one or two quibbles, and they weren't bad at all. It's funny how people see different things in the cards. For instance, I didn't put a hand holding on the Moon card, yet that's how it comes across. She saw a chakra on the Magician card, I was having him doing a 'grounding & centering' to get energy to perform magic. But that works too!

I can't remember how much shipping and handling is to UK?

!!!!! That is hysterical (and wise and uplifting). There is a huge amount of emotional expression in these cards, you've really captured how ferrets express emotion with their whole bodies. The faces are expressive also, and facial expressions are hard to draw.
I wonder why the ferret in the 2 of coins is juggling three coins? Is it that "ferret math" thing?

Maybe the presence of three coins is meant to show that he aspires to three, and has that within sight, but at the moment can only hold two at a time. It's only when he stops juggling that he will be able to hold all three.

*gushes* Oooh...it's so cute! I might buy it next month once I get my paycheck! A pity it's black and white, it might look livelier if it were in soft colours...

The official 2 of Pents is only 2 coins, the one shown on the Picturetrail site is the old version--too many asked about three on a '2' card. The original reason was that it looks good juggling three, but sort of 'off' if there's only 2 in the air. I changed it to two though.
Fairyhedgehog - Shipping to Europe & the UK is easy! I can get up to two decks into one of those $5 prepaid global priority cardboard envelopes, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than sending a box for airmail for $15 or surface rate for $12! Gawd, when post office prices went up in June 2002 they really tripled the cost of shipping overseas, even by surface rate! But the $5 global priority envelope gets there in 4 days or so, so that's the best deal I found so far. The only thing cheaper is if I send to an overseas serviceman via their APO box & then they give it to you--but you've got to know a serviceman stationed over there to do that. That way it's only the cost of sending parcel post with US prices.
Sherra--if you want, you can color the deck in with color pencils, the surface isn't coated so the pencils would work. A light spray with an acrylic fixative (or very light hairspray, it works for rubber stamp art that has been colored in) keeps the color from rubbing off. A color deck would have been almost triple the printing cost, which is why I did black & white. I didn't think anyone would feel ok about $30 for a deck that wasn't laminated or so.
Ahh! So I'm not the only one who's heard of ferret math! YES!

I just sent in an order for 2 decks :D. My daughter saw me browsing your website and 'had to have that deck'. I love your Ferret definitions. Are they in the LWB?

Oh yep! Not only in the book next to the standard meanings, but you also get a separate cheat sheet with all the meanings listed for quick reference.

Hi - I really enjoy this deck! It is so fun.. but I'm worried about keeping the cards in good shape if I use the deck (as opposed to just have it for collection)...
What would be the best way to protect the cards? Lamination?
Is this something a Kinkos could do or are there better options..
Thanks!

You can get that contact paper style of lamination plastic & put it on all the backs, trimming around the card. This way it's not super thick & shouldn't interfere with the shuffling. But I've had some artist done decks with paper like this that have held up for years, with no problem without adding the lamination on them. Though they were carried around in a box instead of a bag. That made a difference, the corners never got bent up just from travel. They do show wear, but any deck does after a while.
I do have enough here to let people get one to save and one to use, if you wanted to go that route. But I can tell you, if they all sell out in under a year, I do plan on getting a second printing done, but those won't be numbered or signed, they'll be marked as 'second printing' on the cover card.
