It seems to have a lot of astrology in it, and the pictures remind me of a couple of old-style tarots - the people especially. It's not a deck I could see myself buying, as I don't have much knowledge of astrology, and I feel that it's a more intellectual deck than I could use to full effect. It is very intriguing though, and the artwork is very special. Where did you find it? xxx

Very few threads here at Aeclectic, and those seem to be of the "Hmmm, interesting, but whatizzit?" variety. The summary on the decks page of Aeclectic doesn't give much information, either. I finally found a good article about it here. I hope that this helps; this deck is on my wishlist, but pretty far down, as it only has pips for minors. Marseilles fans might like it.

I find it an interesting deck, but not one that makes me scream: yes, I want it! immediately.
The style of the deck looks old, but there are some interesting innovations: the devil is female I think ? (well I think she has breasts), Strength is male but no lion in sight, and Justice is also a male figure. And the High Priestess is naked - not many decks have that.

Hi all,
One thing that I noticed about this deck that drives me nuts is the lack of consistance in placement of the astrological symbols and the Hebrew letters. On some cards the astrological symbol is in the upper right corner, on some cards it is in the upper left, and on other cards it is some place else. My eyes don't know where to look for these extra symbols and letters. I don't like playing 'Where's Waldo' with my tarot cards.
(Where's Waldo are children's book where the main character, Waldo, is hidden in each picture and the child has to find him)

It's a deck I'd love to have.... one day. Thanks Kether, for starting this thread and also to Bob for pointing it out to me and for providing that fascinating link.
It is curious that card no. I The Consultant (male) and card no. II is the Consultant (female). It is a deck definitely made for Divination and almost, dare I say, for fortune-telling.
I am curious about the White Bear (polar bear?) on the Wheel of Fortune. And the Judgement card is unusual. Is that the Acropolis?
Card XII, the Hanged Man normally, is also very intriguing.
The Lovers is called the Two Paths.
One day I'll have to order this deck. I hope it won't be out of print by then.

A friend of me told about this deck but I had not seen it until yesterday.
My friend has sent me a scanning of some Arcanes and the hebrew letters can be seen easily in the original.
I have found other interesting link about the occult meaning of this tarot:
http://magdalene.wise1.com/tarot.html
I have, also found, some spanish esoteric bookstores and I see it is a very cheap deck, so I will, probably, order it .
If anyone wants IŽll give she/him some shopping links.

Isn't the pole star in Ursa Minor? So it could be about the idea of finding the center of the wheel, the thing that doesn't move, and guiding yourself by it. But probably the artist could have expressed this idea in a more direct way if that were it.
