When looking through my Bruegel deck today, I noticed that each of the numbered minor cards have the corresponding number of people on them.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I think it is why the cards seem to grab my attention so much - the energy feels balanced to me. I was wondering, would it mean that each person is there to represent a different aspect of the card's interpretation; rather than them being there for the sake of the scene, as a whole, to create the card's meaning?
I guess i'm wondering why the artist would choose to do this specifically and what others think about it? Also are there any other decks that use this method in the minor cards?

Tarotmyst -
Yes, I noticed the number of people in the cards as well. It is one of the things that I find endearing about the deck. Not sure of the relevance in this particular deck, but I do believe that it does lend to a deeper meaning for each card. Whether intended or not, it has that effect on me.
We have an informal study group forum in the General section under Study Groups. We have two cards listed already - feel free to join us!

Hi Tarotmyst,
I noticed this just a few days ago when Dan pointed it out. I think it's interesting that the author choose to do this and agree with Dan that it does lend to a deeper meaning.
I have only explored two Minor Arcana cards really, but I did notice that the different people pictured on the cards show different aspects, for example in the 10 of Pentacles...
I hope you can find the time to join us in our Study Group, Tarotmyst :)!
Warm regards,
Spoonbender

The same artist previously did the Giotto Tarot, which also used the same device of correlating the number of people on the card with the card's number.
