Luca Raimondo's LS Pagan-Olympus-Casanova

I'm starting to appreciate these decks from the way Raimondo has illustrated the scenes with very human characters...although the structures of these decks are very different.

Pagan--I'm appreciating seeing the comments on the everyday scenes with modern settings. The use of a central character has helped me and I do like her expressions, so that is a plus.

Olympus--A little harder because of the assignments of the mythological suits and it took me awhile to familarize myself with how these myths might pertain to human aspects that I can relate to in the everyday. But I've enjoying coupling both the Pagan and Olympus sometimes for readings.

Casanova--new one for me, absolutely new theme. To make this work for the ideas that I have, you're going to laugh...many of the women are now adorned florally in Victorian flower stickers and I put an accompanying small inset from Da Vinci, Botticelli and Burne Jones sticker books as an 'alternative.'

For instance, for Justice: Pallas Athena subduing a centaur is in the right hand corner of my deck and my lounging Justice has a pale one-shouldered covering.

Queen of Swords: Judith with the head of her enemy. The Queen is wearing a skirt of irises in my alteration...
I found a collection of edited essays from Lydia Flem that presents Casanova's writing in an a way for me to figure out romantic scenes with some spice.

I appreciate any commentary you might have on the artist or color palette or reading strength or weakness of this illustration style...I've read of the decks with 'erotic' themes included, the Casanova is highly readable. I'm looking forward to mixing it in readings with my other two Raimondo decks...

I couldn't find any threads just on the Casanova...but wanted to also include the other Raimondo decks in case there were fans or related commentary...

Regards,
