When I have it, I mean to share my impressions, even do a reading or two as the spirit takes me!!!

I now have the CD in my computer, as it JUST CAME. What do I think? Nothing to listen to for pleasure - it seems to be putting me into a trance!!!!!!! It's bizarre & oddly hypnotic... It reminds me strangely of Philip Glass: the same repetitious phrasing, surging beat... (I had to skip the first track. It was just *too much* - Baphomet himself making a *looooong* speech!!) I have found I can't listen to all of it.
As to the deck itself:
I don't quite get the Magician. The Emporer looks oddly decayed. The Heirophant is phalllic. I'm trying to understand The Chariot - not sure. Wheel of Forune, too. The Star has no star, The Moon has no moon. Need I say it - Sun too. These are just suggested - very *slightly* suggested - by the forms of light in the cards.
Well - *all* of the cards are highly suggestive. I think they invite very subjective interpretation. It's not to be used in any & all situations - at least, not for me!! I look forward to getting the hang of it all. Oh - one small disappointment: I was led to believe that this set had the silver-gilt edges, but it doesn't. Oh, well! I'd rather have the CD, even if it *is* POWERFUL STRANGE!!!!!!!
My rather rudimentary thoughts on this singular deck! ;)

danubhe, please let us know how you like using the Giger Baphomet. I find its images fascinating and repelling at the same time, and I don't know if it would be the right deck for me.

I just wrote out my first reading with the Baphomet on the Readings board. It seems perfect for gritty subjects like the one I used it for, the kidnapping case that is going on in my community.
It is a very clear, honest deck that doen't fool around. I seem to connect with it well. I'm at least mildly offended by some of the imagery, but I wanted a deck that would really cut to the chase & never mind the niceties of sensibilities. You can look past the offensiveness to seeing it as being symbolic. As in, it's there for a reason. The Hanged Witch is especially so; but is a very graphic
representation of the meaning of the card.
The book really seems promising! I've barely started it, but Akron seems to really be able to make some good sense of the esoterica. He actually speaks quite coherently about some ordinarily not-so-accessible stuff. I'll write more when I read more.
These are my initial thoughts; anyone else who has used the deck is welcome to chime in!
