Does anyone else use this deck?
It is the most beautiful deck. Pamela Eakins conceptualized it and her mother, Joyce Eakins did the art work. The deck has been around since 1992.

I love this deck. It was one of the first decks I got, but it was too different (from the RWS) for me then so I traded it. Now I have it back and I will keep it :) I love the minors, they are so vibrant and original. I also love the book for the deck.
I don't find all the cards pretty - the HP still looks a bit weird to me LOL - but it is just such a great deck for questions related with feelings.

Hi Moongold,
I have this deck and book. Funnily enough, I used it for a reading the other day. I find the book to be meaty, well written and very insightful. It is a study all on its own.
For a while, I did try to follow the meditation system but gave up after a few weeks. Finding the time is always difficult.
I do find some of the eyes to be haunting and generally prefer the minor cards to the majors.

I got this deck in 1992, and it has been my main reading deck ever since.

I have this deck and book too. I don't use it that much though. I think it's a lot like Thoth but has a much more feminine feel to it. I prefer the minors, some of the majors I find a little offputting - The High Priestess and the Hermit immediately spring to mind. I love the court cards - The Queen of Cups and the Princess of Cups are beautiful.
I think I would use this deck more if the Majors were less wierd looking and if it had no keywords although I think the keywords used in this deck are very good.
It's not a deck I'd consider trading though - it's one of those I keep because I think one day I may decide that I love it.
Here's a link to some of the cards and a review

Thank you all. I 've had the deck for about a year and did some readings with it initially and didn't touch it again.
The other week I picked it up again and was fascinated. I read differently now and find it a most unusual deck to read with - the colours and the images are just so beautiful and speak at a different level.
I don't mind the majors. Some of them are quite different. The High Priestess is quite masculine, for example - quite strong - but could be androgynous. I think the HP is nicely construed as powerful in this way.
Gerbear - I am interested that you have been reading with this deck for so long. Do you do readings for people here? I would not mind having a reading with this deck but will perhaps PM you in the near future about a possible exchange or anyone else who would be interested.

I have the deck and the book. Very nice set.
I don't read with these cards, just used them to study with.

I cannot praise this deck and book highly enough!
Having said that, I have only read with it for myself..... but.... I have followed most of the meditations in the book and after the first few cards, I found myself on the same wavelength as the Eakins! I was getting what they were explaining.... and that was very very satisfying!
I love this deck and book. I love the poetry, the art, and the feeling behind its conception.
I hope you enjoy this deck Moongold, I know you use the Tarot of the Sephora so you are probably further along in the understanding of the deck than me and I think you will get loads of joy out of it.

Tarot of the Spirit is one of my favorite decks, very uplifting and expressive. The Majors are unique yet infused with traditional symbolism. The Minors use my preferred motif of creative non-scenic arrangements of the suit symbols. Although I could do without the keywords on the Minors.
The companion book (by Pamela Eakins) is one of the best I have ever read, well-informed, and full of unique insights.
TOS was the deck I used when I first became serious in my Tarot studies. I was well rewarded by the depth of the artwork and the insights from the companion book. I have posted some of my own reflections about the TOS majors, at:

TOS gives me very constructive readings, and always makes me feel positive whenever I pick it up. I also use the Crowley/Harris Thoth deck, and find that TOS is similar to Thoth, providing a more upbeat soothing approach from Thoth's bold zestiness.

I an finding this deck quite refreshing, and love the art work - the colours, the symbolism and the quirkiness.
The book is an exploration of the Tarot and spiritual life in its own right. What remarkable women the Eakins are/were :).
It is good to know of others who use the deck regularly. Thank you for your comments.
