Well, I am getting the Quest Tarot for Christmas. Any thoughts on the deck?

I do not do not own this deck so I cannot really give you much input. However, this is one of the few decks that I have been seriously considering getting for a while now ($$$ is kind of tight). I really like the artwork, and I like that there are a lot of different things you can do with the deck. I've heard mostly good things about it, and I am anxious to see what kind of responses you get.

Hi,
I own this deck for almost an year and I love this one. The artwork is really wonderful and lively. Its my most favorite deck and if I have to choose just one deck in my collection this would be it.

Hey Paradox
I get a lot out of this deck. You really see its Haindl roots, (and thence, the hints of Thoth). I find it to be an eminently practical deck. And funny and stylish.
My main advice would be don't let yourself be overwhelmed by the detail. There''s SO MUCH information packed into every card, but if you allow each card to float up to you in spreads you'll be amazed out how certain details pop out and others recede. The book is useful, but (with good reason) dwells a little heavily on the minutia of the deck's design. You might want to get a handle on it for yourself before you start juggling all that info. And if you're a fan of Rachel Pollack, I'd also recommend her two books on the Haindl. Obviously they refer to different images and a different deck, but she is so good at finding resonance in a system...
Anyways, that's my two of pents,
Scion
