The wands in the Gilded are very unusual, and I was wondering if these are real objects or imaginary ones. They look like pens, with a kind of bracelet at the end. I've seen that bracelet used as a symbol of civilization by the Celts, I think. I'm going to feel really silly if these are some kind of tool I don't know about. LOL
Thanks for your help on this.

I think the book or maybe an interview said the things on top were torcs? Don't know what that is supposed to be though. Kinda looks like a take off of one of the fantastical machines that are in some of the cards to me.

So then I guess the question is...what's the symbolism of a torc? How does it relate?

I believe a torc is a Celtic neck ring or ornament usually worn by people of important status. From that you might view it as a symbol of authority, wealth, nobility and knowledge?

Thanks, everyone.
I found this site with an interesting picture of the Gundestrop Cauldron and Cernunnos with a torc. Caitlin Matthews uses this picture as the basis of her Devil card, Cernunnos, which she calls "The Challenger."

Yup, IslandDreamer.
Good catch, about torcs-like things on the Gilded Wands. Mmm...
