Someone recommended me black salt for a special spell. I cannot get it here so I wonder if anyone of you knows how to make it and what you need for it.

I know in food recipes black salt is an Indian salt that is actually tan in color and consists of a sulfur flavor. Black salt can be found in Indian markets, if there isn't any where you live maybe you can have someone send it to you? I have seen black salt in wiccan shops that are actually black in color, but I think it is dyed that way for looks. (I can be totally wrong on that though). I think the combination of salt and sulfur makes it an ideal spell ingredient. (Sulfur to help keep things away ect) I have no idea on how to make it, but I know sulfur is in it. I hope you find out more info.

Hi Fairie Lin,
Thanks for your input. I'll check the Indian store and if they don't have it I'll try to get sulfur. I wonder what else there is added as sulfur is yellow. Maybe it will turn black when it is added to the salt?

Yep, this is what I found on a Google Search :
--------------
Black Salt (Kala Namak): A special type of Indian mineral salt. It's more grayish pink than black and has a very special smokey flavor. The major use of this "spice" is to impart the special characteristic flavor to the tangy fresh salads called Chaats. In fact, without kala namak - you can't make an authentic Chaat." (http://www.thecmccompany.com/indian.htm)
---------------
Black salt is pink. It is used in Indian recipes and
adds a very unusual flavor totally different than its aroma. (http://www.culinaryexotica.com/blacsalfromi.html )
--------------
And for spells, http://www.salemwest.com/item1398.htm
Not sure if you can use the culinary salt for the spell or not. Anyone else know?

Hi luna,
Thanks for checking out. I think there is a difference between the kala namak and the "real" black salt displayed on the hp for ritual stuff. I just thought someone had the idea how to prepare this special salt yourself.

In the Vodoo/ Santeria religion black salt is widley used.
*shakes a finger @ you* LOL, what are youuuuu up toooooooooooo, lol.
If you cannot find it in an Indian market, then a botanica will certainly have it. try www.luckymojo.com.
If you are unable to obtain it then use your urine.
