Schorl/Schörl pendulum

Yesterday I got a fine pendulum made of Schorl /also called Black Turmaline). Any thoughts/comments about this mineral?

I know that it's a good stone to put in front of your computer to protect you against the radiation of the computer screen. So it's basically a stone dat everyone here on Aeclectic should have... ;) I've read that it's a very protective stone, that it will protect you against all sorts of negativity.
