how many people here work with their kundalini?
is yours open? how do you know? how did you do it?
i did alot of work years ago on my kundalini thru meditation and energy work but how do i know that it's really open or that it's still open?
i have ordered some books on this topic but i wanted to go to the source of wisdom first..............Aeclectic.

Mine is currently blocked. I've had a lot of lower back problems, inertia problems, health problems and all that bad stuff has been building up like a clog in the drain.
I've been thinking about how I should go about fixing it: daily work and a slow recovery or trying some kind of metaphysical "shock" treatment and getting rid of the big blockage first so its easier to maintain.

well the dictionary says:
kun·da·li·ni __
n. Hinduism
Energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine until it is activated, as by the practice of yoga, and channeled upward through the chakras in the process of spiritual perfection.
~~~
it is (i think) your most potent energy center.
i need to learn more about it actually, which is why i started this thread. when i worked on mine years ago, i did it because someone told me too heehee and i didn't question it.....i just worked on it.
now, i'm ready to know!
I haven't started yoga classes yet... :(
And I can't do much alone, cos I don't know where to start no matter how much I read on it (Gemini nature failing? might be).
I just know it is related to Sexual Energy too, and sometimes I manage to "raise" it. I think that is the correct word, right?
Hi Jade.
I am pretty familiar with Kundalini... however, I know mine is stuck solid with a HUGE block! Something I am about to tackle... repressed energy from past lives type thing...
I am curious though -- isn't Kundalini linked to Reiki in some way? I mean, they are both dealing with energy flow... so, being a Reiki Master.... wouldn't you know the status of yours? just a question.
And to those trying to raise your Kundalini -- be safe!!! Too soon can have detrimental results... although, maybe since times have changed it is easier and safer now more than ever before... hmmmmm
Hi DG!
Chakras are a system of 7 energy centers which corespond to certain places on the body, and are responsible for the transfer of energy. Kundalini is the moving life force energy which originates in the first chakra, and moves upward. It usually does this once you start to "awaken" spiritually, psychically, through Yoga, etc. Sometimes there is a problem with the movement of this form of energy. Blockages or damage can stop, or severly curtail kundalini action. Blockages are not good. Consider, if you will, the humble garden hose, when it is either blocked or damaged. The same thing will hapen to kundalini energy, only with a lot of physical stuff accompanying. That's why it's reccommended to learn how to open and cleanse your chakras before you attempt to raise kundalini. If you can...In some people, it raises spontaneously, unbeknownst to them. And if they aren't ready for it, all sorts of havoc can ensue.
Kundalini is a Hindu serpent Goddess, an aspect of Shakti, the Great Goddess. Her name comes from Kundali meaning coil or spiral.
The Goddess Kundalini lies coiled 3 1/2 times around the base chakra. When we meditate or do magical work to open the chakras the Kundalini rises, as she rises she pierces each chakra causing it to open like a flower. Her journey from the base chakra to the crown reflects the tantric view of the creation of the universe.
My tuppence worth.
Blessings
one other thing that i think is important to add to this posting is a piece from "ramblings of a madman"
Certain Yogis spend their life in meditation in order to attain "bliss". They then go completely insane for the shock of what it is that they encounter at the bottom of the astral plain. The beast at the thresh hold "Satan" or the culmination of all negative energies that make up mythological Hell. This is why one should clear all of the emotional baggage before attempting to ignite their kundalini. For as has been said many times in these writings, like energies will attract like energies. When one crosses into the astral plain, one has to go through the bottom to get to the top. It will depend if all fear and negative influences are gone from ones spirit or the purity and love oozing from ones heart. The dark side or negative energies cannot handle the vibration of love, therefore they will not be attracted to that vibration and subsiquently ones conciousness will be able to traverse the expanse of the astral plain in no time… reaching the bliss in which they seek.
i didn't know if it would help but...
oh... one other note that i just came across...
Now saying this, there are actually 351 chakras in the body. Most people deal with the primary 7 and have a tendency not to utalise or clear the others. In any work that I do with people, I use the 12 primary chakras within the etherical body. The seven plus two above the crown, one between the knees the one between the ankles and the one for grounding in terra firma.
sorry for the scattered head.
i think that the ones on your palms and the ones on the bottom of your feet are extremely important to cleanse.
also the chakra that is below your 5th......on your thymus is extremely important to cleanse!
just my 2 cents
