What is Thetan Healing?

I went past a crystal shop the other day and there was a poster advertising 'thetan healing'. What is this? Does it relate to brainwaves? Or does it have anything to do with the Scientologists who believe we all come from a planet called 'Theta' (I think). Any comments?

As I understand it (which could mean I have it wrong *g*)... A Thetan is an immortal spirit which we have within us all, according to Scientology. There seem to be others, called Operating Thetans who are spirit that can control matter, energy, space, time, thought, and life. I can't tell if Scientology attempts to conquer and use those Operating Thetans to promote healing, or attempts through meditation and some weird and expensive esoterica to heal oneself so one is connected with one's inner Thetan. I've never personally seen "Thetan healing" used outside the precepts of Scientology. Laurel
