I've been a Pagan for about 6-7 years, and have always intended to create a ritual to greet the new day. However I'm usually fogged in (no matter the weather outside) and need to eat immediately (to keep the blood sugar in line). I'd still like to do it, but I guess I feel a little self conscious. Do any of you do this? What kind of ceremonies do you use?
Goddess Bless,

Lately, I've been thinking along the same lines. I'm hoping to hear lots of suggestions in response to your question.
Namaste,
Debins.

Since my style of magick is quite personal and more sponteaneous than planned, this may not be for you, but this is what I prefer to do...
To greet a new day, I get out of bed, and, as soon as I feel I am ready (Whether that be after brekkie, or after shower, or after sleeping for another hour... })) I let in all the excitement of a new day and all it can bring in one deep breath, and let out all my doubts and fears which hold me back from enjoying the new day in the exhalation.
Then, a quick prayer, asking that I at least make the most of the 24 hours I am given in this day, and hold a happy thought in my mind for a while until I feel I have got into my 'carpé diem' mode...
If I am alone at home, and it is a sunny day outside, and nobody can see me, I will go outside and do this, and perhaps savour the sounds I can hear, the temperature, the sun... If it is still that time of the morning when there is dew on the grass, even better, cuz that just adds to the 'new day' feeling...
I guess its not really a ritual per-say, but it works for me, and its my way of greeting each new day! :D

Hi all,
I am so wrapped up in getting life started in the am that I never even thought to do a ritual...
I guess I better start...Thanks for opening my eyes.

As I am always a bit late in the morning, I do no great ritual in the morning. I usually glance up at the sun and send her a smile to greet her.
If I can't see the sun due to rain then I remind myself that rain are the tears of the Goddess and that there are regions on the world which would be glad to have the rain most ppl here detest.
