Donald Michael Kraig's book "Modern Sex Magick" is excellent I'm told by friends who have used its techniques and felt they were successful. Not to mention fun. :P

I have another book on the subject. I can't recall the title/author. But the images were created by Martin Cannon (also artist of the Witches Tarot). I can go find the book somewhere if you like. :)

My DH refers to me as a recovering Catholic ;) And again, no slam to any religion intended. I respect all religions, whether my own or not.
I told DH about this particular thread and his comment was })

So far as I've been reading, and THNX for the book reference i'll look into it, Sex magic can be practiced by christians in the form of tantric sex (which is totally ok when judging biblically) and 'orgasmic prayer'.
If you look at it in the right light any sort of magic is only a different form of prayer. I believe Stockholm is the name you may want to look into if ur interested in Christian hubby participating.
Thnx for the input guys, i'm really looking forward to learning everything involved here.

the only thing I can say about this is "careful what you wish for";)
The power of the mind is very very powerful when used with sexual energy and especially when both people are focused on the same thing.
My husband and I do it all the time but only for the good off all and it harms none. Very effective though. If it involves other people let them accept it at their own free will and everything will work out for the good of all.
Have fun in what you do and always be honest and truthful:)

i read somewhere that you should never do sexual magic unless both parties are in love. it's important that one of the parties isn't 'hoping for more' by performing the magic, it can turn out very badly.
has anyone got this belief?

First, it’s difficult to define love in a way that will be agreed upon by multiple parties.
Second, it's always an interesting dilemma when there is more than one party participating in any act of magick. Though all parties may believe they are working for the same thing, it is much more difficult to reach a consensus on goals than some think (anyone ever involved in working with a committee and it’s decisions knows how this works :D).
Sex magick is no different and because of it’s basis in a basic human activity it can be extremely powerful magick. Even if all parties think they agree on the goal there can be honest misunderstandings. The results can be far worse if “one party is hoping for more” no matter what the “more” might be.
And finally, as I have said in the past and Mara points out in this thread, always beware of what you ask for.

Starfish, I'm sure I read you DH's comment with all my wicked sense for ambiguity... so if he says again: 'Now that's some Magic I wouldn't mind working with myself', maybe you should suggest he tries working it with you instead ;)!

It was a joke. Single guys, "solo," etc.

I got it, DG, but then, sometimes I'm a dirty girl!
maybe catlin meant, after you saw the "solitary girl's" book, you guys would have enough of your magic mojo going, so you wouldn't need your own book.
but i know you,
you have lots of RESEARCHING to do for this, eh?

There was a joke posted a while back about someone who worked at a bookstore. The manager had told all the employees to avoid saying; “Have a nice day” because it was considered too impersonal. Instead they were supposed to say, “Enjoy your books”. Well, one day a lady came in and purchased the book, “Sex For One: the Joy of Self Gratification”. When she paid for the book, the employee said, “Have a nice day”.
I thought it was a very funny joke and I wish I could tell it better.
