Can spirit touch or make noises

Hi Enchanter, I do believe that spirits can speak to us, make their presence known by different means. I've heard spirits talking and felt their presence while I'm awake. I also believe that spirit can touch you and may even be able to inflict pain or at least startle you. I've witnessed doors slamming when there's no breeze; stuff disappears from where I had placed them; cradle rocking; my dog shrieked when a spirit hurt it. So, Yes I believe! ;)

i have heard spirits speak aloud...as real, loud and clear as if a live person were standing one foot away from me. (that's where my signature quote came from btw, heh heh) i have also heard them inside of my head. i sometimes smell their perfume or aftershave. i often awake to a strong smell of smoke, although there is no fire. i have seen spirits, in 'ghost' form and as orbs of light. i have felt things touch me and pull on my hair. i have seen things be knocked off shelves, and heard other sounds that i cannot explain.

Hi all, Did I ever tell you about the scent of lillies in my dining room... I am not very psychically strong and was surprised by the scent of lillies in my dining room..THERE WAS NO DIRECT SOURCE.. The best part is I think it was my grandmother..we were discussign the flowers she was holding in her wedding picture (a type of lily) just a few days before - the picture is in my dining room. the 2nd best part, my psychically brain dead hubby even smelled them..drove him nuts because he couldnt figure out were the scent came from..lol Blessings, Cj

Peace out Hi Enchanter, My beliefs stem from my own experiences, and so I will say yes, spirits can talk to you, yes, they can touch you, it may be a physical feeling of being touched, feeling a presence, or as if a breath is blow on your skin (in my case, it was my neck, at another time, feeling as if the bed was giving at my feet, like someone was kneeling on the bed). I've never been hurt by a spirit, but have heard of spirits that are violent. If you consider a fan turning itself on a spirit moving an object, then I'll answer yes to can spirits move things. One day, about 2 yrs. after my nana passed away. I was really missing her, and in the cereal aisle in K-mart I smelled her perfume as I passed the Capn' Crunch ceral. My mom never allowed us to eat sugared cereals, so nana kept a HUGE box of Capn' Crunch on hand for us. It was like she was saying, OK if it's going to make you feel better, go ahead and buy the cereal. Also, shortly after my favorite uncle passed away I had a dream about him. We were at a bus depot and he was swinging his overnight bags dressed just as I remembered him, I ran up to him and started crying, " I love you and I miss you, why did you have to leave us ?" He said, as he boarded the bus, " I love you too, but I have go home now ! Tell your dad I'm alright!!!! My uncle was an alcoholic, and that's what killed him in the end. My dad carried a lot of guilt about this, they were always very close, they did everything together. My dad felt he should have or could have done more to help him. This was my uncle's way of telling him that everything was alright. More later, gotta' tuck the kiddies in. They are still awake, where are my butt-kickin' boots when I need them !!!!!!! TTYL

i've read before, that there was this person who could see the spirits ofhis dead relatives, and well, the "older" dead said when he asked why a recent relative wasn't contacting hgim, they sadi something to the effect of "because he still couldn't manifest himself in the physical world" in other words, the spirits could influece the physical world, but it would seem that, just like living, they still have to learn how to do these things, one step at a time.

I know Ghost can make noise, my friend and her anut just moved into an older house, and the land lord told them the house has ghost, but not to worry they wont make much noise, and they won't even know they are there. In the past 3 weeks I guesse they woke up. They stomp thur the house, the lady yells out in the night, and the man mummbles alot. They knock on the door, turn the knobs, and are up all hours of the night shuffling thur things. Even during the day they wake her aunt up from her naps...The cops have been there twice saying that someone called from their house, saying they need help. At my old house I use to be woken up in the night and see shadows around my closet, looked like a party at times. Felt someone pull back the covers in get in bed with me one night. Sprits like my Gauridain's I see shadows at times, can sense their presence, espeicaly when I am driving in my car. I am constanly looking in the review. I have to admit the worest feeling is the feel of an evil sprit, use to be in my house till I banned him, now he is outside the house, can sense him pressing on the windows at night, heard him thump the house, and once heard him knock at my back door.

absolutely. i have felt arms around me when i was in church, i almost fell off a mountain when i was 9 or 10, but felt something "catch" me and right me. i hear my name frequently, and i have seen objects "jump" off walls. ok, as soon as i wrote that last sentence, a stack of papers "flew" off my table. no kitties around or anything. so yeah, i believe spirits and others can manifest energy and move things.

Since I started casting circles and especially after working Dragon Magick this house has alot of cracking and popping sounds all the time. Plus you can sense spirits at times also. Sometimes I have feltthem sit next to me and swore it was one of my cats but nothing was there! My front door makes alot of cracking and popping sounds really loud especially when I need to do a spiritual cleansing in the house.

Enchanter. If you are really interested in the topic, I suggest you read "The Unquiet Dead" by Edith Fiore. You can buy it on the marketplace on Amazon. If you do, please follow a link through Aeclectic, so that Solandia get her percentage. :D I was recommended this book by napaea (thanx!) in relation to my questions on Spirits, and I read the book in one evening. The book gives info on how to detect spirit possession, how one can notice them (smell, odd things happening, a feeling of a 'presence'), five case-studies on possessed people etc. It's great! Hope that helps. :) ~aeonx~

Enchanter, I don't think I ever told you, but I think I wrote it in another forum. During the summer, remember the day I was at ur house? And in the backyard we used the Ouija board (now i wish we hadn't)?? Well, after that, when I was sleeping, something started knocking on my wall (it woke me up, and freaked me out cause I didn't understand it, and had forgotten what I had asked her). For the past few years, since she died, I have had my grandmother's necklace around my bedpost. the only thing that night near the wall that could knock was that necklace. just tellin ya,

Most of the spirits that rome my house are very peaceful and if there not they are usually just the noisy type looking for attention. I have 3 cats so they always keep me informed if they sense less than good around my place lol! Take care all

I've seen them. Sometimes they look like the person is standing there and talking to me. Other times they look as if a mist, but I can see where the eyes and mouth are. I have had them speak to me and tell me something. I have felt their presents in form of gooseflesh and at other times as a pressure against me. I've never run into one that caused any trouble.

I know spirit is with me when I feel touched by something I can only describe as a fizzing, cobwebby sensation, I feel like I am being touched by tangible excitement. I am clairaudient, but differ from most clairaudients in that I don't mentally hear, I physically hear. It is like a tinny phone call down an old, bakelite phone. Totally outside my ear, not in it. Clear and distinct - which also takes a lot of guess work out of messages I can tell you:) I get some info through clairsentinence - clear knowing - and I'm getting some good results now I'm developing my clairvoyance - clear seeing. When I am 'open' the skin of the crown of my head feels as if it is drawing back and tightening from the top of my forehead right to the back of my head the size and shape of a small teaplate. Then I feel heat, usually across my back and a slight pressure upon my shoulders. I know it isn't physical pressure though. Over the course of my life I have seen,spoken, heard and felt so many times it has just become a part of my life. allibee

Last night, the television downstairs turned itself on when everyone else in the house was sleeping. It was very loud and I had to go down and turn it off. It has never done anything like that before. I was freaked out! Sometimes the baby's electronic toys make their music when they are turned off, but I always figured it was just a circuitry glitch. Now I am starting to wonder...

Hello all...interesting post... Here's my input: I beleive that spirits can make noises, appear to some, and even cause disturbances to others. Those that cause unwanted disturbances are spirits of a lower degree of spirituality, and most likely enjoy making petty annoinces and use them to their advantage in order to scare or just annoy people. Those who appear to you sometimes don't do so out of their own will. It is usually the person who is born with the ability to see spirits. However, some spirits who are close to you may appear to you so that you know they care about you and are still with you after their death. It is important though, that you do not be afraid whether the sighting is wanted or unwanted. Being afaid of unwanted beings may just feul the fire that makes them keep disturbing you. As far as making noises or moving objects, here is a ture story that happened in my home with my mother and I. We were sitting in her room and down the hall, my uncle's room door was ajar. The TV in his room was off and me and my mom were talking. There was no one else in the house besides us two, when all of a sudden, the TV down the hall turned on. My uncle doesn't speak english, so he has brazilian sattelite in his room, and we could hear the portuguese coming for it. My mother and I looked at each other and she went to investigate (I was too scared to go with her) The second she put her hand on the door nob to push it open, the tv turned off. Some may blame it on technical difficulties, while others may have no explanation...who really knows??? Blessings, Rain

I've also had a few experiences with a couple of spirits. I am a police dispatcher at the police department of one of the Universities in Arizona. The building I work in has a spirit residing in it. I and several other people have heard whispering which sounds like it comes from just down the hall. I work at night and have heard this when there is no one else in the building, as have other dispatchers that have worked here at night. A while back one of my coworkers was sitting in the dispatch center chatting with me when we both heard (heard a whispering voice) and felt (like the air pressure suddenty increased) "something" come into the room. This spirit moved through the room passing through me, then my coworker. It then left the room. One of our female police officers told me, a couple of years ago, about an incident in the women's restroom. She was "using the facility" when the faucet on one of the sinks suddenly came on. She thought maybe I had done it as a joke, but luckily I was on the phone at the time and could prove to her (by the phone recording) that I was not the culprit. She and I were the only two people in the building at the time. One last example (I do have others from my years here). When I first started working at the university, I was a security officer. One night, during my usual checking of buildings, I noticed a light on in a building which was supposed to be unoccupied. It was a very old building (since then it's been condemned and torn down - wonder why?). I went to the main entrance and opened the door, as I went to step inside, I felt a very firm pressure on my chest as though someone were pushing me back - preventing me from entering the building. Needless to say, the light stayed on the rest of the night. So, yes... there is no doubt in my mind that the spirits can interact with us and our material world.

Luckily , I am blessed NOT to have these experiences. I am a transmitter; not a receiver. A whole passel of spirits could pass through me and I doubt that I'd notice them. At my parent's house, two friends would tell me about the spirits they have seen, one a woman dressed in Civil War clothing. One friend also says there is 'something' in the closet in the back bedroom and wanted to 'investigate' ; I told her anything there has not disturbed my mother who has lived in the house for 60 years and not to disturb it. That room is also the room and bed my grandmother died in; I have slept in that bed many many times and don't feel a thing. I also lived in the house for 30 years and never noticed a thing. When my partner and I moved into the rental house, his sister and my friend kept telling me about the 'woman' who walks down the stairs and across the lving room- lived there 5 years and never saw her. It never bothered the cats. Ask me to send you healing light - that I can do. Don't ask me to turn and see the green indian riding the blue elephant - it won't be there.

I believe its a blessing to see or hear spirits or feel them. Some of us don't though because we have shut down those types of psychic abilities. There is nothing scary about it to me especially living in this "logical" world most of the time I think its great to have spiritual contact at times. I don't mean to go around fooling with spirits that are better off left alone but when I sense spirits their are usually around to tell me something or I am experiencing spiritual contact which is great since I study the metaphysics and like to know I am capable of feeling spirits at times. I consider it a true Blessing. Blessed Be to all you have had such unique experiences not many do and if they do most will just blow it off to imagination.

trogon: maybe sometime you will find a medium or psychic who can go into the restroom and see what is going on, why the presence is still hanging around. i always find this kind of thing both interesting and disturbing. interesting, because i love to be able to experience these things, and it is amazing that those on the other side can reach out to us in this way. disturbing because they often haven't resolved something they need to in order to move forward in the spiritual phase. sigh... i did hear my name called again the other night. i couldn't sleep at all that night, and finally drifted off for about a half hour when i SWORE my sister called out my name twice. i got worried that maybe she was sick, so went to check on her. sound asleep. then i heard it again, then nothing after that. i don't know what they are trying to communicate when they just say my name, but at least they are pronouncing it right!

The place I once worked had a large mainframe computer building. This was built over the runway system of a onetime World War II aerodrome used by the Royal Air Force. The site also has a ghost of an aircrew member who was killed during(?) return from a mission. Many of the computer operations staff, on a 24/7 shift system, were accustomed to small items being moved, going temporarily missing and various other small "pranks" this young man seems to enjoy? ;) He was also occasionally seen, on Summer nights, dressed in RAF greatcoat and staring along the onetime runway in the direction of returning aeroplanes. The building is (naturally!) strictly non-smoking but the presence is often associated with the distinctive smell of pipe tobacco or sudden *SOUND* of a match being struck. Turn around and noone is there. :D Tradition has it that the individual in question was indeed a pipe smoker... I think MOST of the staff members eventually rather enjoyed this presence... and would casually remark as to whether "XXX" was indeed "on duty" or not on any particular night shift... :)

I believe things have a way of letting you know they're there. About 3 years ago I started taking my first classes in crystal healing and metaphysics. The one thing that stuck in my mind when I left the class on the first night was something the instructor said. She said, "after attending these classes your life will never be the same." The classes were so positive and upbeat with so many mystical things to learn. About a week after being at class my husband woke me in the middle of the night to ask me what time it was. This is something he NEVER does and on this occasion he didn't really seem to have a good reason for doing it. I looked up and told him the clock said 5:30 am. Just as I turned back towards him there was this tiny ball of light in the middle of the room in front of us and then it seemed to explode into a sphere of larger light which actually lit up our room. It was like someone was using one of those old flash cubes on a camera. All he said to me was, " you've got to stop bringing these entities home with you." Then we rolled over and went back to sleep. "Something" created this scenario so that both of us would be awake to witness it. It wanted it's presence known. If that energy had been negative, I would have known it for sure being clairsentient. It seemed so angelic and calming that we weren't bothered by it. I called my instructor the following day and she described what we saw as an "angel trail." She told me it was letting me know I was on the right path.
