Helping the dead Civil War soldier pass through

Tarotphelia and Dark Electric and I were on 3-way on the phone a couple of days ago. Tarotphelia is the one who did the tarot reading on the "big spawn like presence" that I was sensing a couple of weeks ago (was posted). Dark Electric has some amazing psychic abilities who is the one who helped open a portal for the soldier. Anyhow like I said, we were on 3-way. Dark Electric sensed that the soldier was from the Civil War. She also got the numbers "103" and thought it was an infantry and sensed he was originally from Pennsylvania and had some Quaker influence and grew up as a farm boy. Was kinda forced to join the military. Moving ahead now... we concentrated our thoughts on seeing a portal to the other side opening up, in the hallway since Dark Electric said he seemed to be in that area the most. She talked all the way through it describing what she was doing... when she FIRST starting describing it I felt a "shift", like when you are in an elevator and it first starts to move... but this shift was felt sideways not up and down. His picture appeared in my 3rd eye, I saw him walking through the lighted tunnel (looked like sky), I saw him wearing a long cloak/jacket (????) that was flowing. D.E. sensed at one time that he hesitated going through cause he thought about me and my family didn't want to leave us and that he felt like he had turned into our guardian. We told him that he could watch over us from Heaven. After he went through and the portal closed my sight saw like a thin lace of "tv scramble" over everything... like when your tv goes out and you see all that scramble... but this was colorful scramble not black and white which I think was mainly from me being quite dizzy afterwards. Later on the next day I felt the soldier came to visit me, this time I felt him very happy and felt him with a young female that I sensed was his lover/wife. Anyhow, I am quite happy for the soldier now, the house seems alot "brighter" and my son's toy hasn't made anymore noises by itself. I am probably missing out a few more details but I think Dark E and Tarotphelia will soon post a little bit more about their side of the experience...

Hello...just out of curiousity, would the Civil War be in your family ancestry? Not that you want connections anymore, but here's a story that might be related: One teacher that I did a personal history writeup for in my last semester of school was half American, although he was born and raised in Asian countries and then Hawaii, after the World War II and Asian conflicts of the twentieth century. My point here is that he knew no one of his American family, not even any paternal relatives when he settled in the U.S., Southern California. However, he had a Native American tribal name and he had a dreamlike experience once of seeing a photograph and woman with Native American features. His dream had a name of a mid-western town stamped on the back of the photograph. He had a copy of his father's birth certificate and both town names (the dream and the birth certificate) were near each other, in the same state. Anyway, he called listings and in one of the towns, he came in contact with family members and after awhile, got copies of family photographs. One was a Native American woman whose picture had the name of the town in the back of the picture--a great aunt whose features were noteable because she was half or a quarter Native American. His native American name was actually the name of a tribe known to have situated in that state, region...he found the connections afterward. It was as if his American father, hoping if the children ever got to the U.S., wanted them to trace their American heritage. I don't know if you felt connections to the Civil War at all or if you want to follow it up in your family history...but at least for this teacher, the associations turned out well.

It also explained a lot to us about why ghosts get stuck & how they can be released. Apparently, the portal of light to the other side can close if you don't go through it after death. Dark Electric first needed Faerie's location so she could properly place the portal geographically. She then decided to locate it in the hallway of Faerie's apartment, a place where she had heard the sound of running footsteps while she was pregnant. While talking to us, DarkElectric described how she was opening the portal & gave Faerie directions to urge the soldier to go through it. As it began to happen, we all felt icy cold. I thought I was going to see my breath! Warmth returned suddenly as he went towards the portal, but the chill came back as he hesitated - not feeling right about leaving his post of guarding Faerie apparently. DarkElectric told Faerie to tell him she would be ok & she told him to go. At this point, I could hear just from Faerie's voice she was in an altered state. Originally, DarkElectric had decided to put a time limit on the portal of 48 hours so the soldier could go when he chose & it would safely close up after him. But once she & Faerie were sure he went through, she closed it after him immediately so that he could not return & nothing else could come back through. The next day, I did my daily spread as usual, but was puzzled because it seemed to have nothing to do with my life . Later it dawned on me that we had gotten a kind of thank you note ! These are the cards & their positions: Lovers--------------------King of Pentacles ---------Knight of Swords Page of Swords------------10 of Swords There's a dead man, an ending, lots of military swords, a message , movement, a rich & happy dark haired man plus 2 people in love together beneath an angel! I sat down to email Faerie my spread & my suspicions & found an email from her saying "I feel the soldier is with a female now. So he's happy (of course he would be anyway being on the other side!)" That was very synchronistic & confirmed what I was thinking about my puzzling reading! I was using the Gendron tarot for my reading that day, and the very smiley King of Pentacles bears a resemblance to Faerie Lin's husband Brian...making it all the more fascinating because in my original reading I got the strong impression that Brian reminded the soldier of himself. This is an amazing story! I feel so deeply happy for this soldier!!! Yay!! As for the tv snowy look and the portal - that must be that veil that Holmes describe from one of the Angels about how Christ made a way for the trapped souls to progress to heaven when he died on the cross. Okay, Dark Electric - how do you know how to do this sort of thing and how do you do this sort of thing, not that I'd want to do this sort of thing, but would like to hear how this sort of thing is done ;)

Very interesting story Mari_Hoshizaki! I love hearing about stories like that!! I don't know of any strong ties to the Civil War, never really was into history. But after this experience I surely was interested! Sadly I don't know much about my side of the family history 'cept for slavery times, and even concerning that I don't know much. :( But I'm going to try to delve into that a little more. I will probably get bunches of information about Brian's heritage though! You make a great point!!! Musie! I didn't EVEN think of that! It being the veil! Wow!

Was just thinking more about the "veil" Look at the High Priestess Card. There is a veil that is the divide between the earth and the water. Between physical and spiritual/emotion. The Bride wears a veil at her wedding. It is like a gateway, rite of passage, initiation to pure knowledge, forming a new relationship, life changes ... Guarding what is hidden. Part of it is acceptance and then walking through to discover a whole new world, new things to learn, elevation of wisdom ... Well now we know where the symbol of the veil comes from. Everything goes back to the original source ... of ALL :) Isis Bless!

Eeek! Now I'm put on the spot...how do I do it? At risk of sounding terribly lame...I really don't know. I always sort of knew I could do stuff like this, not sure how I knew, though. I'm just a weird girl who can do odd stuff. It's always been this way, but there's a lot more of it the older I get. The first "person"I crossed over was my dear dog Myles. He was deathly ill, and didn't want to leave me alone. He was at the end, but refused to shuffle off his mortal coil. After watching him suffer for 3 days, I made the decision to euthanise him. I couldn't stand to think of the pain he was in (he had cancer) so I took him to the SPCA. As we were waiting for the Doctor to come, we sort of worked out that I would open a portal for him to go through so he could be at peace. He assured me I had this ability, and sort of explained the process. (Yes, this is a dog here, but he was sort of an evolved guy. I see him as a canine Bhodisattva. When he knew he was dying, he left psychic essence of himself in certain spots in the house he really liked. I would think I saw him lying there, step around him, and realise it was not him, but his "echo". He'd be in another part of the house. The cat senses where these "Places" are, and is drawn to them. He sleeps in the exact same spots now.) The Doctor came in, did his stuff, I opened the portal for Myles, and he went to rest peacefully in my arms. He never completely left me, though, he still provides guidance from the spirit realm when I really need help. I've done crossover death work for human beings too, most recently my ex BF's grandfather. As well as other stuff, which, in retrospect, I realise was all about this portal opening ability. Maybe it's because I was in a really bad accident (In a car, hit by a freight train, didn't make it, was over there myself for a little bit, got brought back by Doctors after my heart stopped, so I can sort of traverse this realm.) and since then, very weird stuff happens to me. I can be seen by those in the spirit realm, because the energy signature of the otherworld is imprinted on me. Lately, I have been able to see them too. It used to be that I could sense their presence, and see the world through their eyes when they were around. Now I can actually SEE them. And this has all changed my view of what "Dead" is. I can't really consider anything dead in the sense of lifeless anymore, I guess I now consider it " Differently Energised". I'll say, it makes life and death a lot more interesting. My building has a lot of spirit activity. The ones here who are sociable really seem to like me. So if my live buds are all busy, I can go hang out with my non corpereal ones. Hey, you can't have too many friends.

A suggestion...only if you feel culturally attracted to some of these things... At first, whenever I saw a cultural book that says "Book of the Dead," I really disliked the concept. So I didn't look into Egyptian, Tibetian or some Celtic books and cards, because I was very occupied in trying to marry my Swords and Chalices inclinations to Pentacles and Wands activation. I believe an American writer who has written of how turn around from a more materialistic view into something more comforting was Edgar Cayce. My sister likes his books. But after awhile, I caught on the journey is as important as the destination and tried to relax my mental blocks. So for awhile, Egyptian, Tibetian and Celtic books and cards were of interest to expand my worldview. The attraction and experience came to explore these things when the time was right. In some instances, there are cultural teachers that can assist the student. I think the intent is to feel both the gentler compassion and a structure to find right stories or aspects of human life and death. There is an appropriate belief system attached to such cultures, so these flavors may appeal to you. Best wishes, Mari H.

Now this explains some things for me. Now I know why my cat was haunting my house. He didn't want to leave. I felt guilty and didn't want him to leave either. I did a little goodbye prayer last night and I hope that helped. Dark Electric I am so sorry about your accident. You have been blessed with a divine gift as a result. Mari you are right, it is about the journey. I am learning something new everyday. I also used to think the Egyptians were so morbid, but I have come to learn their theology is profound and beautiful.

This is all so interesting. I did something similar to this once before. My uncle was in hospital having had a stroke. The hospital was about 30 miles from where I lived. I was close to my uncle as he had been around a lot when we were children. Anyway, I cleared my thoughts and told him not to worry. I sent other remeniscing messages to him as well. The following day I went to the hospital with my mother to see him. He had lost the use of one side of his body but his memory seemed fine. When he saw me he said that he saw me there yesterday..as he put it. I kept insisting that I wasn't there but then thought the better of it. I was there in a psychic sense. He heard my messages the day before. A couple of days later when I was at home I had a heavy feeling come over me. I knew he was trying to pass but he was always afraid of dying. He never even travelled in his life because he was afraid of getting lost. Again, I cleared my mind and I led him to the light. I told him it was okay to go to it. It took some coaxing but I felt a weight lift and knew he left. A couple of hours later my mother called to tell me he had died. I was glad to have been able to help him. That was about 10 years ago. I recently dreamed that I went to visit him. He was in a bi-level house and he watched me pull into the driveway through the window. I remember sitting and talking to him but have no recollection of what we talked about. It interests me to hear other people's experiences.
