I think I found my past life.

I've made a theory about my past life and how I died. I believe that I got sick during a great illness passing through my homeland. I heard of people dying and I thought that the pain I was experiencing was too painful. I couldn't handle it so I jumped off of a high building. As I fell my ears hurt more and started to ring. and I fell on my back and died shortly after. I believe I died on the date of new years eve.

I was wondering i anyone had any coments, questions, or thought they also have found out about their past life.

I didn't believe in past lifes until his year. But I dont think of it as reincarnacion or w/e. I believe we are sent back to earth as a punishment and we must make up for what we did in the past. My great sin that I would be making up for would be the suicide. I do believe in what is caled Karma too.

Peace out!

Hello ^_^.

I am just wondering how one can believe in past lives, but not reincarnation?

Also according to the law of karma, which you say you believe in, you can't stop the cycle until you have purified your karma with the divine help of the buddah Vajrasattava (thanks to my significant other for the correct english spelling ^_^) so technically reincarnation can be considered a punishment for what we have done in the past until we have properly confessed (well, confessed is not exactly the word I am looking for, but it is the closest I can get. I apoligize for my lack of english once again)

I am very interested on your views on this particular topic, if you don't mind sharing some more ^_^.

So are you thinking of life on Earth as hell? It is our punishment to come back and live again?

i believe in reincarnation. while i believe i have lived before, i don't see it as important as what i am doing with my life in the present moment. i see the earth as a huge classroom where we learn and evolve. often we get our education from the school of hard knocks but that doesn't mean we are being punished. lessons can be painful or painless--depends on the lesson we are experiencing. even if a fate that we are suffering has no obvious reason, i believe there is a reason beyond our comprehension. we have a choice how we perceive the events of our lives and how we act/react to those events. we can either be the victim of our past or rewrite our story and be the hero of our present. i think regaining equilibrium, learning from a karmic issue and moving forward is a very positive thing. holding on to past karmic mistakes is stagnating our potential for doing good in the world.

i can't say i haven't been dragged kicking and screaming thru some experiences i didn't want. just b/c i believe things happen for a reason doesn't mean accepting what has happened is easy for me. however, if i find a meaning for my pain then ultimately i find my pain bearable. learning to bear the responsibility of who i was, am now and will become in this life is often a staggering accomplishment w/o even considering past lives. since i don't need anything else to overwhelm me, i use the K*I*S*S* method for living. kiss=keep it simple sister ;) no need to complicate this life more!

When my friends and myself were young, we never thought we would live to be 30. Whatever we thought, we just understood our jobs were to do the best we can in this life. This can be hard, whatever your age. So a fatalistic view or feeling can be very common, but seems especially common through high school and college.
Whatever contributes to your view, you might try writing about the topic in a journal. Perhaps when a feeling of sadness or not understanding why you feel bad comes up, it would be helpful to write out your ideas. Over time you might find that your beliefs are related to something other people have said to you...or that you've heard said to others. And once you have figured this out, you might realize you are free to choose to live and act beyond a negative past or a mistake that you believe you made long ago.
Our dreams and moods seem very real. Once the dream, mood, and ideas are written down, sometimes we feel relief. Later, if we realize that the dreams or moods we wrote down keep repeating themselves, we realize that our minds and feelings are trying to work out some notions that might be important to explore and resolve. When I mean explore, I mean by looking at dream themes or the topics in general--for instance, you mentioned falling and perhaps there is a fear of falling that comes to you when you are in high places. Perhaps writing about the topic of falling and then finding ways to resolve that fear can be a positive step that would make you feel better.
After 9/11/2001, I believe the painful, scary aftermath and media replays have contributed to many people feeling such stresses. Especially the very sensitive and the very young.

Wow, all of your posts are very interesting. I love hights when it comes down to it, but I hate hights when you not buckled down or safe. I do have a lot of dreams of falling. So do many others though.
For the Buddhism question I'm not a believer that much. I believe he was born, but he asked not to be worshiped so I just take some of his teacings I guess. Plus I'm a Lurthren (christian). Well, I have to run. Keep posting. This is really interesting.

Peace out!
