Hi all!
I've been checking out the link here: http://healing.about.com/library/uc_chakras_0106.htm
I also bought a book on the subject, but haven't really read it yet. I'm too involved in a fiction book right now. I re-read Umbrae's post in the runes section on "waking the wheels and setting them to spin" as well.
I've tried to get all my chakras spinning in a clockwise direction... but I'm not sure if it actually worked, I'm a little weak on the visualization stuff.

Thanks for the link Rhiannon, now im going to check it and also look for that post in Runes section.
Visualization its hard sometimes, but its just about practice to get it easy. Maybe to visualizate material things you have around after looking at them for a while could be a good exercise to improve it.

recently i began to work with my chakra's, but i have to do a lot of work yet ;)
i bought the book from anodea judith and selene vega: the sevenfold journey: reclaiming mind, body and spirit through the chakra's (but mine is in dutch ;))...i find this a very good book: it explains the chakra's brief but well (5 pages/chakra) and has next to this all sorts of exercises: relaxation, yoga, meditation, chanting, making an altar, diary, dansing, ... i only has done the base chakra/root chakra but i expierienced that it already has helped me, it makes me stronger, more rooted/grounded, more secure...

Hi all,
I started learning about Chakra's thru an inexpensive book from Barns and Noble.
From there I found info in the Reiki study books, and even my new and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book, Power Mudras Yoga hand postures for women by Sabrina Mesko. there are Mudra positions for each chakra in it..and quite a few things
The main Chakras (the 7) are mentioned in quite a few of the meditation, Reiki type books..
Blessings and I wish I could find that little book so I could give you an exact name...sorry

I have just recently began to start really "seeing" my chakras while meditating one each one. Its so beautiful! Before I could only visualize them but now I can SEE them (eyes closed). Beautiful color/light spining and dancing around. I can see them so clear now that I feel the need to lift up my hands and try to touch it in my eyes (of course I don't though)!
Practice makes perfect. Starting out I could barely visualize them. I just stressed to myself that "yes they are there". Then after some time, all of a sudden, they came out of the dark.

how wonderful faerie lin!
i have been able to feel chakras for some time, even long distance. then i learned to internally visualize them.
recently, i have been working with a book (gifted to me, by a dear friend here) called 'shaman, healer, sage' by alberto villoldo. he is a shaman in the peruvian tradition. it has some wonderful excercises to help actually see, rather than just visualize, the chakras. they are still fairly faint for me, but i'm getting there! :D
