Since we are talking about books, I thought I would ask about one. I picked up a slightly battered copy of Sacred Contracts by Caroline Myss recently. I have only read about 30 pages, and so far it just seems like a book-sized ad for her Sacred Contracts classes. Do anyone have any thoughts on this book? Does it get better?

i can't remember the name of the myss book i read, her theories and methods are well worth reading about.
i have read other books that were like big ads for workshops etc. even though there were wonderful messages in them, i found myself too irritated to enjoy them.

I think it's a great book- but soooo much work. I'm still in the stage where I'm journaling/dialoguing with my chosen archetypes. It's a really worthwhile exercise, but it takes forever. I'd like to get back into it one day. Just going through the process of picking my archetypes was really enlightening, and I'm tempted to skip ahead to the stage where the archetypes are attached to the "houses"

Butterfly,
I am at the part of the book where you choose your archetype and I had a real hard time, so I put the book away for now.
I agree with you that the book requires a lot of work and focus too. It did not seam to be an advertisement though. I think this book has a lot of merrit. Just requires a lot of work.
I think I will just read the book through once and then go back and try again.

I sat down with the book after I posted and read a bit further. It does seem to have a lot more potential then I thought. I'm really looking forward to reading more.
