How do I know if I am reading my cards right?

Hello Angelica, welcome to Aeclectic :)
There is no 'right'. Perhaps there is 'more accurate' and cards definately have assosiated meanings but as long as your gut tells you what is right, then it will be.
Different readers will interpret the same cards in different ways, depending on the deck, situation and surrounding cards...
Experiment and trust your instincts!

Well, I'd suggest to remember the outcome of your reading and after a while (2 - 4 weeks) check if it worked for you. This may sound a bit obvious but this is how I did it. After the first reading worked out (to some extent) I took things one step further. So basicly slowly (but steadily) evolve.
