I've often wondered what is the correct way to turn the cards over from the deck. Flipping the card toward me or flipping it over sideways? Or does it really matter?

lunalafey  04 Dec 2002 doesn't really matter.
Everyone has thier own ideas. Different methods have been disscussed here before.
IMO, as long as you are consistant, do what feels right to you....

here are just two of the threads with this topic.

I think you should flip it over sideways (like turning the pages of a book) because that's how the cards are in the deck. Although, if WANT to just flip it the other way, I agree with lunalafey that you should always be consistent so that the cards "know" that's how you do it and they can arrange themselves accordingly.
