8 Wands
I sometimes have used this card for :
-yes or a green light for any question.
-no or a red light for any question, when card is reversed.
Yes or No ? Any ideas on this?
Thanks for any replys.

Hi Ros!
Do you mean when you pick up this card you take the yes for granted?
Every card can be used for a yes or no answer, but what is telling depends on the subject, although some of them look more positive than others.
I agree the eight of wands looks pretty affirmative, but sometimes is about rushing the things or even about capricious feelings/needs that will not last in time. So depending on the question a "yes" will not be the best. But im not sure if you are talking about yes/no questions or other type of readings.

In one of my study books they told this as a green light card. I just tell clients that this may be a go ahead card. Just wanted so extra thoughts on this.
thanks

For me this would depend on the surrounding cards as well as whether it's reversed or not. While it's a card of enthusiasm, passion, and sometimes a call for swift action, it can also be a sign of going overboard with something, getting too carried away.

I've heard that the Sun card is a Yes card, but not the 8 wands..... I would be tempted to keep a journal of when it is used as a yes card and see if it proves to be true...... especially before telling clients....... just a thought......

I have also read about the World card as a yes.
Inana I just put my info in a journal but if I find my book through all the books I will let you know.

The World card has appeared as a yes for me with the question: will we find it (the lost item)? And we did.
I had a hilarious experience of the direct accuracy of the tarot image in answer to a question. A friend had lost her keys. She knew the path she'd walked between and into several buildings on the college campus between home and back again.
We asked the Robyn Wood deck where the keys were (1 card draw) and got the 4 of pentacles--the man sitting in the middle of a gray-walled room with 2 pentacles under foot.
We took that to mean the keys were in a building, at least. When they were found a couple days later, they had been retrieved from the floor of a toilet stall! We laughed and laughed. The tarot (and any other deck) couldn't have given us a more accurate picture of where they were!

This is a fabulous idea for a new thread, imagemaker. I bet you'd get lots of interesting stories in response. (I'd post some... hee hee)
