I searched for this topic - I didn't see anything...sorry if this is a repeat but.........
I gave a reading to a co-worker today about a relationship. The 7 of Bolers came up as her feeling about the relationship at hand. I gave her the basic meaning - growth after hard work. we chatted about it a little.
Then tonight I was drawing my daily card it was no other than the 7 of bolers. I answered my usual questions than thought I would break out the book.
The book brought up the seperation of the city in the background and the gypsy's nomadic, nature loving lifestyle. I started thinking of the card in a more negative light. Now I see it as meaning that progress isn't that great. The gyspy life was more healthy than the slum city that is hiding behind the smog. The wheels of the cart have been parked a while due to the overgrowth of vegetation.
Does anyone else feel that this card is more negative than positive?

I can see it as both. It would have to depend on the question asked and the other cards.
It could be that the gypsy has visited/tried out the city/progress and found out that it isn't quite what he wanted and is deciding to go back. That could be both negative in that what he thought he wanted isn't really right for him but positive in that he knows at least what he doesn't want, if not what he does want. Maybe he is trying to get to the city and is using his 'inheritance' or his gained knowledge to get there. Just a few thoughts.
Thank you for opening up this other side for me. I tend to see the positive sides easier than the negative. Except maybe the 10 of chivs! Then again perhaps the person on the ground was a very bad person and now the rest of the families are safe?! lol I do like what you've stated about the nasty slum and the more healthy nature loving lifestyle.
Thanks again. :)

I felt different decks differ widely in this card.
Thoth 7 of Disks is called Failure. (And then having it reversed might mean the more positive side), but in some decks it's called fulfillment?
I think they should be both. I guess this shows how keywords can make cards lean to one side or another.
