Pamela Colman Smith's "The Page of Swords"
The card drawn is: The Page of Swords
Keywords/theme: "giving, ebbing, loosening"
My interpretation: Your card is the embodiment of the waxing autumn Moon.
She represents a time of reflection for you ~ a time to prepare for a fresh start. Discarding the outworn, removing obstacles, and coping with all the changes. Pages were historically of noble birth, sent at a young age to serve a noble family. I envision The Page of Swords as having come from the Court of Cups,
the suit of Water, and as such she is essentially an emotional and intuitive person, now come to reside and serve Airy Swords, the suit of intellectual reasoning and logic. While this represents a basic conflict for her true nature,
she is courageous in her determination. One look at the image on the card tells this story better than I can. Her appearance in response to your question is powerfully significant, and while you must be the final judge ~ the suggestion
is that while there may be a parting of ways, old bonds are never truly severed,
and new opportunities forever arise.
