I know this card speaks for itself, but what kind of strength does it speak of...the strength to hold a feeling inside or a great surge of energy that needs to be released? Ive been doing alot of love spreads lately and one person asked me to pull out one card for how her beau felt about her, and I got strength...so i said....he feels very "strongly" about you...she said, strong what? strong love, hate, lust....or strongly about not to be with her??? Ive always been confused because the thoth refers to strength as "lust" so when someone asks how someone feels and they get strength, i immediately think that this person is in lust with them.
Im starting to create verbal diarrohoea now i think...(did i spell that right?)
Any ideas to clarify the meaning of strength, in particular with other peoples feelings towards you??

How about acceptance, unconditional love... or to paraphrase Jack Nicholson in "As Good as it Gets"- "You make me want to be better than I am." Maybe they feel that this person brings out the best in them, makes them better than they were before, simply by loving them with gentleness and kindness...warts and all.

I use this with The Strength card
"Say what you want and be who you are,
for those who mind don't matter and those
who matter don't mind"
For love questions I find it would be very strong emotion of lust
that can turn into love or hate.
Showing the real you!

In Strength she hold the lion's jaw closed. The lion has tremendous strength where he needs it -- in clamping down the jaws on his prey. But the lion has comparatively little strength in the Opening of his jaws. Hence, Strength, at least in this pose of the RDW, is using more intelligence than raw muscle power. I notice the lion is sticking his tongue out -- maybe he actually likes her and doesn't want to fight too hard -- and his tail is tucked 'tween his legs......Nope, this is all kindness IMO

My emotional interpretation is more like, what's really going on?
Since the Lady & the Lion are agreeably participating together,
we're seeing ~ a special relationship, not a separate event.

That is really insightful Ros, thank you, I have read that somewhere before but its only just sunk in...
