Tarot and Remote Viewing

lark  22 Feb 2005
I've been dabbling lately in practicing remote viewing with tarot cards.
Sunday one of my clients asked if I could do a reading on a building he wanted to buy.
The cards were pretty negative about it.
And so a little frustrated he said to me could I see the location of the building he would eventually buy.
He had chosen the Gilded deck for his reading so I pulled the next 4 cards.
And woosh those cards sent me flying down a street.
Card one was the Page of Pentacles-I saw a building near water, water was visable from the back of the building.
Black pillars.
Three of Cups~ a bar down the street and I blurted out "three coins in a fountain."
The Sun~ the word sun or a picture of the sun on a building.
Four of Wands~a church steeple visable from the front of the building and a daycare or school near by.

Today I get an email from him.
He told me there is a building for sale down the street from the first building we did the reading on.
From the back of the building there is a clear view of the lake.
There is a resturant called The Three Coins across the street with black pillars in front of it.
Two doors down is a bar.
And right next door is a store called the Equinox that has a large picture of the sun painted on the door.
There is also a church steeple visible straight ahead of you as you look out the front door of the building.
And a daycare center a little ways down the street.

I was pretty flabergasted!
As far as I know I have never been to that street and it is in a town I only venture in at the very edge.
He even drew me a map of exactly where everything was and it looked like my little remote trip down the street.
This was the first time I've tried remote viewing with the cards for a client and I was wondering if any of you have tried this and what experiences you've had.

After reading this over it sounds kind of braggy, but I really am blown away by it all, and am in the most humble way appreciative of the experience.
And wanted to start a dialoge about this most interesting way of using the cards.

Rosanne  22 Feb 2005
Hi Lark, That was a very specific answer for you. I have not used your method in 'seeing' the cards. I have done a similiar type of what my family calls 'a party trick'. It has been fairly accurate. Someone will ask me "where am I going for my holidays/trip etc and I draw a card and tell them the place I see. I don't know if I am reading the person or the card or little clues, but I have had a good sucess rate. I treat it lightly and with a sense of fun. I do visulisations with different cards and also get good insights. I usually didn't know the information before the visulisation. Where the ability comes from, I also don't know. Keep doing what your doing and record it in a notebook. Looking back is a great confidence builder. These cards are splendid tools for all sorts of growth aren't they. Regards Rosanne

hi lark
that is so amazing, wow, I would be sooooo blown away!!!!!!
Congratulations on your incredibly successful first time try!!!
my hair on my arms was standing on end as I read your post! seriously!

firemaiden  22 Feb 2005
Lark, wow! that's incredible! Remote viewing, how? with the cards? How did the cards help? This is astounding!

lark  22 Feb 2005
firemaiden~How it actually felt and happened was as I layed the cards down I felt like I started to go down a street almost like I was watching a movie and the camera was passing each building on the street and panning the area.
Certain things on the cards started to stand out and kind of rise up out of the card like they were in three dimention...as if to say look at me, look at me!
If you have a Gilded the Page of Pents has black pillars behind him and behind the pillars is water.
first i noticed the water and that it was behind everything...then i saw the building with water behind it.
Then the black pillars stood out and i saw a building with black pillars in front of it.
The 3 of Cups was the weirdest because I just blurted out, three coins in a fountain.
That is what the three girls on the card were singing.
And then I saw a bar.
The picture of the sun was sooo bright on the building it felt like the light of the actual sun.
He sent me the logo of the Equinox and it is very bright, bright yellow, orange, and red.
The 4 of Wands the Wands stood out and then I was shown a church steeple.
It was as if the camera shifted up in the sky so I saw the church steeple behind the other buldings on the street behind this one.
The little boy stood out on the 4 of Wands and then I saw a school that turned out to be a day care center.
The rabbits on the 4 of Wands said Easter so I think the decision to buy it might happen around then.
I saw a few other things that haven't been confirmed yet.
A different colored tile floor.....
3 sister that are some how involved.

I have practiced remote viewing in meditation and I have just lately been throwing the cards into the mix.
So I went out on a limb to do it for a live customer.
I didn't feel nervous or unsure at all at the time.
But the email yesterday sure met and exceeded all of my expectation for success.

Rosanne I think you are doing exactly what I experienced.
Only on a smaller scale with one card.
I'm so glad i wrote down the cards right away so i could remember them.
i felt at the time it was a very unusual reading.

Also the question of decks comes up.
What would I have seen if he had picked Morgan Greer or the Golden.
I guess he instictivly picked the deck that would give him the answer he needed.

Astrid O~ thank you :)

Chronata  22 Feb 2005
That's just awesome, Lark!
What an amazing and detailed reading experience!

I have never tried doing this with the cards before (I know..I am experiencing a rather loud "duh!" in my head right now!) But I have done a little of this (trusting the flashes!) when using other divination methods!
(and maybe I have done something siomilar in past life readings?)

You have greatly greatly inspired me!

Now off to try some remote viewing myself! (I think I'll start with the Spiral!)
Oh what great fun!

Though I am wondering right now...if I use the tarot of Prague...will I see only Prague? hee! })

dolphinprincess  22 Feb 2005
That is such a cool story, Lark! You should be very proud of yourself :)

I think you have given us all something to try.... !

lark  22 Feb 2005
Hi Chronata and dolphinprincess!
If you do give it a try please come back to this thread and let me know if you had any confirmed results with it.
I am going to practice a lot more with it and try and incorporate it into my readings when I can.

I was just thinking how I could practice.
Joe (my better half) goes to different jobsites every day.
I could pull some cards and see if I can get any impressions of his job site.
I might even be able to take a little remote trip there.
And then quiz him about it at night.
It's worth a try.
We'll see what happens.

dolphinprincess  22 Feb 2005
Lark, that sounds like an excellent way to practice. I'll have to try to think of a clever way to give it a try....

If you have any more successes, please post them too. I think this is *very* interesting!

memries  13 Mar 2005
Hi Lark..... I am a beginner in Tarot but have studied some Remote Viewing and although no success compared to your wonderful "viewing" , I do realize it is possible. As an offside I am experiencing clairsentience on occasion. I am hoping that from what I have already learned about the Tarot that maybe it will bring my God given talents all together in one form of expression. What a wonderful insight for you to share and I am going to try to look at the cards with a different perspective, that is what you have given to me. I am still a bit afraid of them, trying so hard to do what is right !

lark  13 Mar 2005
Hi memries, nice to meet you! :)
I think if you stick around the forum you will learn some amazing things.
And it will keep you on the right track as you experience an opening of your pychic abilities.

I haven't been back to this thread, but I have continued with my experiment.
I lay 3 or 4 cards out and write down what I see.
When Joe comes home he reads it and tells me if I hit on anything or not.
And I'm doing pretty darn good.
Here is an example of one of my more successsful remote viewing experiments.
I used Morgan Greer becuse it is rich in bold symbols for me.
I pulled three cards~
Emperor, Queen of Cups, and Page of Cups.
Now I'm not actually reading the meanings of the cards just letting them take me on a little trip to Joe's work site.
Emperor~I see him working in a resturant.
The name of the resturant is a man's name.
And I see short walls being built.
Page of Cups~ I see sheets of plastic.
Queen of Cups~ She is the card that most strongly says resturant to me but the beading on her sleeve and around her crown stands out.
I see Joe putting up a beaded design wood trim on the walls.

He confirmed when he came home that he was working in a pizza resturant called Jeno's.
There were short half walls being built that day.
There were men in the kitchen area putting up sheets of metal on the walls.
There were layers of plastic on the metal to protect them from scratches and they had to be pulled off in big sheets.
(He was pretty amazed that I saw that one and so was I!!)
His job that day was to but up trim around the walls and it was called beaded trim.

It's become quite a nice dinner time game for us.
I always write my viewings down so there's no chance I get to cheat.....:D
If I forget to pull some cards because I'm too busy ect. he is disappointed. He really seems to like to be involved in my little experiment.
And I feel it's really good practice for me.

Elven  14 Mar 2005
Lark - that is a truely amazing experience. I am so excited for you. How wonderful!
How did you use the cards. Did you shuffle them and cut them and lay them out or pick at random. I would love to try this - or did you just go on your intuition about which cards were used. Could you give me a little more insight, I'd like to give this a try.
I often get certain lines from songs in my head which apty contain words that clarify or add to a reading, but this sounds great.

Keep a happen' thing going!
Elven x

lark  14 Mar 2005
Hi Elven
Yes, I just shuffle, cut and pick the first 3 or 4 cards off the top.
Then I just settle back and stare at the cards untill I start to see pictures in my mind of where he is and then certain features of the cards jump out at me.
And I write it down.
I'm experimenting wth using different decks too.
Let me know if you have any good experiences with it.

For example today I used the Voyager deck
I got Two of Worlds, Child of Cups, and Seven of Wands.
I'll just write here what I'm seeing.......
Joe will be working in and outside today.
There are two disscussions going on on the job site, one about the Michel Jackson trial, and someone is talking about their vacation and how they went snokling.
The Seven of Wands is showing me a meeting with the higher ups in the company he is working with today (Joe is a supervisor)
The totem pole is showing me this.
He is using a hammer today and an exacto knife to cut things open.
A date has been set for someting to start in the spring.
And the company he is working with today is owned or has the name of one man.....his family name.
The stained glass panel is showing me this.
Also I'm seeing duck or geese so I have to write it down (even though I don't know what the heck that's about.)

So that's how I do it and now tonight I'll have Joe read this and we'll talk about what he saw and did in his day.
Then I write next to it in red pen little notes so I don't forget.

Milfoil  15 Mar 2005
So hands up - how many of us typed 'remote viewing' into google immediately we read these posts?

I'd heard of it before but never really looked into it. Lark - your use of tarot to 'get you there' is quite remarkable, do you have any standard training in remote viewing?

I 'googled' it as soon as I read the thread and was amazed at the information out there (not all as good as it first seems). Sounds fascinating.

lark  15 Mar 2005
Oh, I'm so sorry Milfoil, I just assumed everyone knew what remote viewing was.
I've never had any formal training, I used to go to a site called "Got Psi" they have all kinds of pychic tests you can take and I used to fool around with the remote viewing test sometimes.
I also do an intuitive training hypnosis tapes series called Expanded Intuitive Training by Thomas Condon.
www.thechangeworks.com
One of the tapes is about remote viewing.
It was after doing these tapes for a number of weeks that my first experience at the Spirit Fair happened.
So that must have been an opening of sorts for me.

For those who are interested in my viewing for Joe yesterday I was about 85% accurate.

He was working at Johnsons Wax ~family name of a man.
He had a meeting to talk about a project that will start in spring.
He remembers watching geese land on a pond as he drove into the driveway at the factory.
He used a hammer and an exacto knife yesterday.
But no one was talking about Micheal Jackson.
No one talked about snokling either...but one guy was talking about building a pool for his kids this summer.
So I gave myself half a point there. :)

Milfoil  15 Mar 2005
Oh don't worry Lark - I sort of knew what remote viewing was but your posts made me want to go and look for more information. I'm really intrigued now.

Simone  15 Mar 2005
We organised a few months ago two remote viewing groups, initiated by Joan (jlvbt), where one of us was the "sender" and the others were the "receivers" - the sender chose a card out of one of the decks and sent them, and we discussed the viewings later on threads in the Divination forums.

That being said (and maybe I'll reorganise one, thought of that just yesterday), I have had the experience of seeing the weather in the cards. I once did a "Summer reading" for someone (I think it was lionette), and the cards showed me the weather developement for her summer. The reading was not about the weather, but the info came just alongside with everything else :)

I later got the confirmation that it was pretty much accurate... :)

But I never did a remote viewing like you described, lark, although this certainly inspires me to try it :D

Thanks for sharing this great experience!

Love
Simone

This is fascinating! How wonderful to have this ability and these experiences. And thanks for the link to thechangeworks.com.

I've never tried remote viewing or gotten spatial information from the cards, but I have done a few readings where I became fixated on small details of the cards and did a reading that moved from detail to detail, having very little to do with the larger context or the cards' usual meanings. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's like that part of the card becomes 3D and is closer and brighter and clearer than the rest and it's very hard for me to focus on anything else. Is this at all similar?

BTW, these readings turned out to be extremely accurate. And if I don't write them down right away, I forget them in a short period of time.

Thanks for sharing all of this.

Ive only heard of remote viewing in astral projection, but with tarot cards that is amazing, and it takes much less time! Props for your exploration! I wonder now if we will be debating invasion of privacy...LOL. Very cool, ill have to try it on my colleges to see if i should go to them. That helps a lot!

Milfoil  16 Mar 2005
I would love to further my knowledge in this area and the past few evenings I've taken a look at information on the net regarding remote viewing and meditation tecniques. I'm afraid that over £1000 is a little too much for me to pay to learn Transcendental Meditation and I don't really consider myself to have too much in the way of phsychic prowess so can you more experienced forum members give me a few pointers as to where I should be looking for help with meditation and improving phsychic ability etc

Thankyou in advance.

Silverkitten  16 Mar 2005
I'm with you on that Milfoil. I don't know the US equivalent of 1000pds (don't have the right symbols sorry) is but I'm sure it is more than I can afford.
But I would so very much appreciate a few pointers on how to improve my meditation and thus improve any phsychic ability if it does indeed exsist. Though I often think that it does. I was reading once about something called clairaudience where a person hears music in a room when no one else does, and that happens to me often.

Lark, everytime I read of your remote viewing experiences, it just makes my insides jump in a unexplainable positive way. I am thrilled for you that you have been give confirmation of this ability in such a bold and fantastic way. Keep developing it, with your daily practices. And that you for sharing your experiences with us.
Blessings,
Donna

lark  16 Mar 2005
Hi Simone~ I''m going to go look up those threads.
Sounds like an interesting experiment.

bassetized~ It sounds like what you are doing is similar to what I'm experiencing.
It is really hard to explain it.
I do feel like I am right there, but in my mind.
Or I feel like I'm seeing the things Joe is seeing through his eyes.
So I'm either seeing him as a person walking around doing things or I am seeing and hearing the things he is seeing and hearing.
I hope that make sense.
And it is not one or the other it can happen all in the same session with the cards.
And it is like part of the card becomes 3D and then that triggers the visions or the sounds or both.

Milfoil and Silverkitten~ Thank you Silverkitten I plan to keep practicing.
And let you know how it goes.

I wish there was an easy way to highten you psychic abilities.
I certainly could never pay $1000 either for meditation classes.
I can only help you by telling you what I do and have done for years.
1) I sit quietly for some portion of the day...sometimes I just close my eyes and clear my mind and ask for insights into things.
Then I write down what comes after the session.
2) Sometimes I meditate on a card.
There are so many wonderful decks for this.
Dreaming in Color is one of my favorites for this kind of meditation.
And I write down what comes to me.
3) I use the Expanded Intuition Tapes, I put a link on my previous post.
Those cost $70.00 but it has been the best $70.00 I've ever spent.
4) I do little tests through out the day like how many letters are in the mail box, what color will the next car down the road be... ect.
But for many years I did nothing but what I've said above.
I think people expect some big fantastic experience when they meditate.
That hasn't been the case for me.
The experiences come later in daily life, a very strong intuitive flash or an exceptional reading.
It's like meditation is the medicine or thereapy and you see your results get better and better as time goes on.
The biggest keywords I have for you would be dedication and diligence.
If you want it, you have to set aside time to do it.
Just like you do to exercise or eat or sleep...ect.
If you can do that I think you will start to see results.
There isn't any perfection to seek just take your time.
Your psychic ability will be unique to you.
And I think we should be thankful for each time the veil between this reality and the next is lifted even just a little and we're allowed a peek inside.
It is such a gift from Spirit!
Hope that helps~blessings~lark~

Lark - your little tests throughout the day sound like a great (and fun) way to strengthen ones psychic abilities. I'm reluctant to say that I have any tangible ability myself but I do get those flashes of insight sometimes - quite at random so developing those (and their meanings) makes sense to me.

I have started to meditate based on suggestions from various web sites, friends etc and oddly enough have found this very insightfull. If I'm not too tired I find I can get to a state where I see images - whether or not these are just figments of my imagination or anything else remains to be seen (pardon the pun!!). I keep a diary so being able to analyse the images and other insights over the weeks/months will, I hope, prove helpful.

Thankyou so much for your suggestions. This forum is such a friendly place, I'm so glad I finally came out of the shadows.

Lark - oh my goodness ... the floor tiles are a different color??

Then I would say that your vision is a complete miss!! ;)

ros  20 Mar 2005
Wow!!!
Thanks for sharing Lark.
Gives me something different to think about.
Your moving on and upwards!

memries  20 Mar 2005
clairvoyance is "seeing"
clairaudience is "hearing"
clairsentience is "smelling" ... which I get on occasion. Sometimes I am talking to someone.. (totally clean and washed..lol) and I smell something. For me it means "don't trust them" or do "trust them" depending on odor.
It is well documented that some Saints (Padre Pio..think he is as yet just Blessed on his way to becoming a Saint) smelled of flowers.
It is known by those who it has happened to that when you suddenly smell flowers and there are none that "the angels are closeby". That is always such a lovely happening !
I have also had clairaudience.. something said to me "Go to your Father".. he was in the hospital and I went and he died when I was there. I considered it a wonderful gift.
Also had an occasion when I was driving too fast and something like a big bird came out at me. The car was rocking and something said " Put your foot on the brake" ! You would think I would have thought of that but I was in a panic. I avoided an accident so my motto is...if I hear a voice I do it !
I am not sure if the voice was inside me or outside me.
As for meditation, compose yourself with your feet on the floor and your hands one over the other in your lap (you close the circle of energy) Then pray for protection and picture your self surrounded by white light. Be still,
and if a thought comes to you of your day, etc. just let it go, you can think about it later. Try to empty your mind and just relax all over if you can. In time you might see something or at least will feel better for having been relaxed. There are guided meditations on tape or in books that you can use and James Redfield's wife has a meditation tape out that is nice. Maybe 15 min or half an hour to start if you can.
Guess this is too long a response so will go. Have fun...memries

Milfoil  21 Mar 2005
Thankyou Memries

I sometimes think I smell things but I never know if its just me or not - I need to start paying more attention to the small details I think.
