During a daily card reading last week, both of these cards jumped out.
I have always had some trouble with the 7 of swords but the last time (a week before this draw) I drew it as a daily reading I had an encounter with a police officer who caught me pulling up in front of a diner (where my sister was exiting with her baby) which happened to be a no parking zone. I remember feeling offended that he didn't let me wait for just 2 minutes as she got into the car and it really bothered me until I rememeberd the daily draw that day and laughed because I was trying to get away with something, and was unsuccessful (although my conversation with him took enough time for her to exit the diner and me to wave her on to a more appropriate spot which I guess is the swords I got away with). This time, however, I am unsure of what it means.
I was subbing at a school I am interested in getting a permanent job with and it was a great experience. While I was there the falculty was discussing interviewees (people interviewing for the positions I am interested in) and I felt odd because I have not been called for a interview. I also was talking with a candidate explaining some of the facts about the school. It was awkward and I wonder if this is where the 7 comes in. I can't really put my finger on it. Then reading the posts here I thought, well maybe this was a warning to not use this experience to talk about my possibilites for next year, or perhaps that I should have mentioned it to let those who have some influence aware. When asked about my experience I did explain that I would love to work there and that I did submit a resume but did not speak of it unless asked. I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. With the 6 of wands it makes me think that maybe I handled it the right way.
I would do a full reading, but I've already done a reading on the possibilities of working here and don't wnat to over do it. Any insight?

Hi there
The thief card.
what is being stolen from you? perhaps in this case your confidence. Why were you not called in for the interview? Perhaps someone is being sneaky.
I am still very unexperienced when it comes to reading but every time this card comes up for me or someone I am reading for, something underhanded is going on. Unknown opponents are spreading gossip, or something is being stolen from the querant...time energy. Perhaps you put a lot of work in and you ar emerely disappointed for not being given a chance as you work so hard

Hi QofCups ~
Welcome to Aeclectic!
It's more appropriate to post this kind of reading in the "Your Readings" Forum because technically that is where it belongs and you are more likely to get a response there. Possibly the Moderators of this Forum will move it.
Secondly I am quite confused by your question... Sorry :).
It's not really clear whether you drew two cards on the one day or one card on separate days, and which incident belongs to what card. I can see that you think VII Swords belongs to the parking incident but does it also belong to the day on which the school interviews happened?
This might seem irrelevant but, I am quite interested in what you see as the purpose of your daily readings? Do you meditate on the cards and gain some inner understanding of the deeper meaning of the card, or do you take some kind of motivation for theday from your card? Or do you just leave it and try to understand the eday's events by considering it in the evening.
If it is the latter, I can't really see the point in drawing a card in he morning. I can see value in drawing a card, reflecting on it and maybe letting the learning or the principle in the card to influence your day.
Anyway that is something to think about.
Just on a practical level, and leaving the Tarot aside, if you really wanted the job you're discussing should you not have actively applied for it? I can't imagine that it would come to you on platter. Tarot can give us information about our lives but it doesn't often tell us directly what to do.
Perhaps you could ask the Tarot what you need to know to assist you to get the job that you dearly want?
My very best wishes. I hope you do get the job that you want, and no more parking fines or warnings :).

Hi!
I see 7 of swords basically as hiding something. It can be about lying, but more often is about not telling all the truth and keeping a part of it to yourself because it isn’t favorable to your interests.
The guy on the RWS is taking the swords of the others, even when he will not be able to use all of them. Why is he doing so?
- He is making plans in advance to protect himself and his interests.
- He is keeping open various options at the same time without the others knowing about it.
- He wants to avoid an argument or a fight.
- He wants to use the ideas or resources of the others for his own benefit.
Those meanings are related to the Chariot. A soldier in the swords (air) realm is a strategist who acts with prevision, tactics and subterfuges because he knows its objectives and obstacles or enemies. It’s an individualist and ambitious card.
But also there is another possibility: one is so unsure about its own wants and skills that needs to feel protected all the time and the constant approval of the others. That motivates both to hide and face the truth.
Now on the 6 of wands: victory, success, achieving your objective, pride, having the recognition and approval of the others, being confident to yourself.
I see two posible meanings on those cards related to you situation. The first is having a good strategy to get what you want and making it work. Maybe you still can get an interview or speak with someone? The other is about someone having a known person inside with influence enough to give the job to “his/her” candidate.
Don’t know if all this helps... but i wish you good luck!

Sorry for all of the confusion. I was half asleep when I was typing.
I have applied for the job and the interview process has just begun so there is still a chance of getting called. It was just awkward to be a part of a conversation about other peoples interviews while I am hoping to have one. The 7 of swords and 6 of wands jumped out when I was shuffling to do a daily card draw. I've been doing these draws to get more familiar with my deck and use them mostly as a way to see how they apply to my day. However, because they jumped out I felt they had more relevance. I also was thinking, "how will this opportunity benefit me" as I was shuffling.
The police incident was completely separate (different day, different draw). I'm not even quite sure why I included it in my post, but that incident open my eyes to what this card means so it is what I think of when I see the card.
Thanks for all of your insight. I will remember to post in the readings' section next time. I did do a spread after I posted about how my chances of being hired changed since the change of events. I will post that in the readings section. Thanks again.
