I was curious to get a consensus on how quickly things that the tarot predicts manifest themselves ? As a farily new reader, for me at least, the cards that come up for me in my daily spread seem to have about a 2 week lag period. In other words, I draw the cards and note them in my journal and 2 weeks later, the situations manifest themselves in my life.
What has been other peoples' experience with how quickly situations come to be ?
Thanks.

You are asking a question about 'today' and you have a two-week lag period? Or you are asking about some advice for the future and the information doesn't manifest as 'happened' for about two weeks?
I tend to ask questions within a time frame, not ask about the future and then wait to see how long it takes to 'come true.' I ask questions such as 'Can you give me some information about how the sales meeting next week will go?' or 'What kind of attitudes will I encounter when I return from vacation next week?' I don't ask 'So, wazzup?' and then wait to see when the universe answers the question.
If you ask a question 'about today,' your answer will manifest 'today.'

It depends a great deal and thats why its important to find a time frame otherwise your readings are less accurate and valuable. Its not worth knowing something if it happens after 20 years.

When asking a specific question while shuffling and dealing,
you should remember that the cards will be about just that.
This is like when people ask ~ what does this card mean here?
The answer is that it means what you thought it meant before.
The cards don't change every day, but you do, and what you
think makes all the difference as to what the cards will reveal.

I find it hard to predict a time scale with readings. I don't think tarot like "time", if you know what I mean.
The way I get round it (if a querant wants to know timescale) is use (or devise) a spread incorporating timescales, eg; the 12 month spread or a lunar spread.
Maybe its just me that finds it hard! But that's how I get around it anyway.

If you ask a question 'about today,' your answer will manifest 'today.'
But is that always necessarily true? I read people saying things all the time about "what the cards choose to tell you" not necessarily being exactly what you ask them. I haven't developed an opinion on this in terms of the substance of what you ask, but I could definitely buy it for time.
I did a spread :::::checks tarot journal::::: on 1/22/05 asking about the rest of January (a.k.a. the next week). As it turned out, the situation the cards predicted manifested with a vengeance around Feb. 3-5. So not tremendously far off time-wise (and freakishly accurate), but also not exactly what I asked for.
