Hello. If this question was asked before then I'am sorry for starting another thread on this. I would like know if the number on the tarot cards help to enforce a meaning or anything special? For example having a 10 of cups, and a 10 of pentacles together, or having a Lovers card, and a 6 of cups. Thanks for reading.

Well, like any suit, the numbers have correspondences. I really don't wish to name them but I will. These are from the book "The Tarot Workbook" by Nevill Drury
1- beginnings, individuality, creative power
2-opposites, reflection and I also get conflict
3- growth, expansion, Mother and Father make child
4- logic, order, calmness, unity
5- Many forces opperating at once. sometimes against each other. I usually find by myself and not with tarot, this card is almost the same as four
6- balance, harmony, love
7- perfection, completion, rest
8-individuality, intellect, emotions
9- completion fulfillment biggest single digit number
10- end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one
When there is more than one or two, it usually means a strong presence of that particular energy.
Hope it helps.

Thirteen's explanations of all the various numbers and how they relate to readings are really helpful -- you might check out the Tarot Meanings here:
http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/
There are also some very interesting discussions on-line about how to read the numbers to tell indicate time frames. I think this is pretty difficult, myself, but some people get very good at it (I think I have a general ineptitude with mathematics so...). Here's one resource:

Best of luck!
