Card 69 Ontano: Fearn = Alder
Well yet again, this is a Water card – or a Winter card – but no Winter in sight – we have Summer on the image and a Toad and a Frog Spirit Being prove that.
In terms of Water, there is a Water jug, with several ominous glyphs as decorations. Little 'Frogfoot" has gathered all kinds of things useful from the Alder Tree: Its seed pods, a sturdy straight log, some stones needed as hammers, if one was to split this log into planks. Seems like that is, what he/she has done because 1 finished plank ready for building a home is laying before him.
High overhead a magnificent Roman Aqueduct stretches across the scene in a graceful arch.
The invaders have changed the landscape and with that all life in it.....
Now at the same place we most likely find a highway and a paved parking lot - the ash just being a memory and the Frogfoots long gone and forgotten.
