Inner Child Cards- Two of Hearts

Two of Hearts

We see two mermaid kids, one boy and one girl, sitting perched on their own individual rocks. They each hold in their hand a winged heart facing towards each other. From these two hearts is an outpouring of a rainbow with two dolphins jumping over the rainbow. There is the sea, calm in the backdrop but turbulent in the foreground.

Rainbows- Unity, Harmony, a connection
Water – Emotions
Rocks– foundations, basic identity and beliefs
Hearts - Love and adorataion
Mermaids- Allure
Dolphins- Mind, telepathy

Personal Interpretation of the Card:
Love. Harmony. Balance. Adoration. Here we have two people who have bridged a connection between themselves through the rainbow which is harmonious. It is the meeting of the mind and heart which often starts a meaningful relationship whether its between a man or a woman or between two friends. Because water is involved, its deep emotions so this would be significant of a deep friendship or a deep connection, not just casual interaction.

This Card in a Reading:

Mutuality. Couples. Partners. Friends. Lovers.

Meanings for the Card:
If asked about a relationship, this signifies lovers at the beginning of the relationship where there is passion. It is not as stable of the emotions like the Lovers card (Hansel and Gretel) where a firm/union marriage is noted, but it can lead to an engagement or marriage. This card is interesting because it can pick up from the 2 of Swords, if you've been in a dispute and then see the 2 of of Hearts then you know that a compromise between opposing viewpoints is happening. As the final card in a read it may ask you to use harmony and reasoning with others.

Reversed Interpretation:
As always, the Lerners do not believe in reversed interpretation of their deck. But I take the card in reversed as the dolphins are not able to jump over the rainbow- a disconnection. A disconnect of thought, emotions is occurring. Also, the two rocks (identity, beliefs, etc.) are no longer aligned. One has grown out of the relationship through different needs or paths.
