New deck spread

new deck spread

I like to do a "new deck spread" when I first get a deck. It's a fun way to explore how I might relate to my new acquisitions... Here's the spread:

1. What will you teach me?
2. What do I need to do?
3. What will our relationship be like?

I tried this spread - AWESOME

I tried this spread with my new deck - Tarot of Dreams. The outcome was mindblowing! Wow!

Thanks for providing an awesome way for my cards and I to introduce each other!

Wow!!!!
I tried this spread with my new deck today and thorught i'd share.
it's a RWS mini deck and I only got it yesterday.
(for some reason the cards wanted to talk to me, i've never had the cards want me to write them like this before!)
(edited to remove the reading, that will teach me to read the rules TWICE before posting)
before I did this spread I was almost scared of what the cards would tell me , now I'm full of hope & excitment.

Thanks so much for sharing!

New Deck Interview

Somebody shared the following spread on Orphalese....

5***6
**4**
3***2
**1**

1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
3. What are your limits as a deck?
4. What do you bring to the table - what are you here to teach me?
5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?

I just used this spread with two new decks, the Fradella Adventure and the Bright Idea deck. It was so great... it really gave the decks a chance to speak and show their various strengths and weaknesses. I really want to put my Victoria Regina to the test, but she already auditioned once, poor old thing (using a 3-card spread).

Raheli, glad that you enjoyed the spread. It's simple and to the point it's my favorite for a new deck. But if you'll look in the fourms I'm sure that you can find more.
