My first Marseille deck.
OMGawd, what will I do with it.
This looks like fun.

Has anyone worked with the Samurai or
Tarot of the Spirit World? The Smaurai Tarot
I know I will be able to read with it. The other
I know it's not going to happen. The Marseille deck,
I'll get that one to work.

Any other comments on these decks?

On Samurai Tarot--the script is great...and SpiritWorld

1. Samurai Tarot

I like the writing and 'script ideas' behind the deck a great deal.

Some of the pictures are very pretty. Some to me are average or perhaps not as pretty or interesting as other anime, manga or Asian graphics. But I've more than a few Asian tarot titles, so that's my take. After awhile, I thought Marco Polo Tarot (Tarot of the Journey of the Orient) wasn't as interesting to me as some of the older Chinese or Ukiyoe Tarot--but that is just me.

I think some of the illustrated majors of the Samurai Tarot aren't really my favorite style of depictions--again it's simply my taste. Not certain how others who like Japanese or Asian-style art feel about the deck pictures--I'm really glad you can relate to the deck. Some of the color combinations are quite pretty.

Can you tell me what your favorite cards in the Samurai Tarot? I like to hear differing opinions than my own--because the value or enjoyment of others can tell me something new, as well.

2. SpiritWorld
Over time, I found the Tarot of the Spiritworld rather interesting, although the use of the 'devilish' character reminds me a bit of the red imps in the swords for the Forest Folklore by U.S. Games.

3. Universal Marseilles.
I want to wait for the Lee Bursten book to the Universal Marseilles.

Sounds like you are having fun and that's the most important thing!

The Hermit is my favorite.

I will go over the deck this weekend and post again. This card
just caught my eye when I looked through quickly.

I enjoy The Fool & King of Wands! LOL

Pictures like the 4 Chalices & 5 Chalices. They look to
me like they could be I Ching cards. The energy flow
is peaceful.

The Empress, 3 Wands and King of Swords are iffy.
Not sure if I like them or not???

Do not like the 7 Wands & the Knight of Wands. Don't
feel that they fit, but will in time.

I really like most everything about the deck and LWB.
New knowledge is always refreshing.

One card in a deck I usually dislike is the Devil.
Samurai Devil is the first I have looked at and
smiled...
finally, not a bad Devil! LOL
