a few cards i made

[atomicgypsy]

these are old ones of mine, but full of personal symbolism, so they may not "click" with everyone.. i made these some time ago...they are hand-drawn, and painted in watercolor... they are rather small... i put a lot of emotion into these, as i was going through some hard times (i was 18)... when i look back on these images (i no longer have some of the originals) it reminds me of how i've grown through those hardships...yes, times are brighter now..

i like the artwork. beautifully drawn. hope to see your deck on the market.
PS: preferably in pocket size edition so i can bring it out.

someday i might complete the deck.. i made each card to capture a moment/emotion i was feeling, and to help me work through it...a sort of art therapy, i guess..
i will certainly make more at some time... i actually forgot i had made these! i'm glad i found them...now i can add to my deck again...

I only wish i could draw!!, nice work! Keep going , i'm sure you will have a fabulous deck in the end! There is some depth to these cards isn't there I can feel that. I think you need to have more confidence in yourself. I can feel your emotions in these cards, i do feel abit of pain though! ouch.. I just looked back on the post you wrote at the beginning and understand why now. I think that you have flourished alot more since you did these cards, i think your artwork style is more confident now, don't know why, but i feel these cards lack a little confidence compared to what you are caperble of. That's not a critisism, just an observation that you may be caperble of producing something even more captivating than you already have, and what you have is fantastic!! i'm not knocking you with my observations, you have a great talent there girl!!

I realise now why it's to do with the writing on the top of the cards, the cards are great, it's just the writing displays a lack of confidence somehow in my oppinion.

you are quite right.. my art has evolved a lot since then.. and everything you've picked up from the cards is spot on. you are right about the writing.. i never noticed it before, how it appeared and what it said about me.. when i do another tarot project, i'll post a link back to these, to show how i've changed!

There are some really wonderful things about these cards that I just love!

The ink and watercolor style is supurb! I find myself very drawn to decks like these lately, as there is something real and fresh that I don't see in a lot of commercially published ones lately.

I can see you wanting to go beyond these cards because of your growth as an artist, but I hope that when you get around to making another deck, that you don't completely abandon some of the wonderful things you have here!

I love the soft colors, the details, and the juxtaposition with an almost harshness of the subject.

I paticularly love the Ace of Knives and the Clockwork card (I have this thing with clocks!)
but I also really like some of the renaming you have done here...the cups as hands is brilliant! and the other majors are also pretty cool reimaginings!

I really would love to see what else you have to share!
Please keep us updated when you decide to take a crack at creating again!

I am very intrigued and delighted with your original ideas!
