Anyone know anything about these TdM decks from Argentina?

garmonbozia

I cannot find out anything about either of these decks. I emailed the eBay seller and they do not know who the artist of these decks is either, but they think the same artist did both decks.

I cannot even figure out the printing company.

See the photos in these auctions:

2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/220672817100

and I am also curious about this one. I think it might be the same as the Fournier TdM but cannot tell for certain with such a small picture.

Anything anyone might know about these is greatly appreciated!

What are your thoughts about it? Do you know the artist or production company?

I'm sorry I can't be of more help tonight. I moved....uh...awhile ago, and so many decks are in boxes. I don't know where it is. There are others here that have that first one. It's very rich in colors and it's one of my fav TdM decks, but that's all I can say at this point. And the seller is good.

images.google.com is your friend. :)

(1) If you go there and search on { tarot de marsella fournier } you'll discover that the third ebay listing is indeed what you think it is. For example:

http://www.consultacartas.com/baraja_marsella1.html

(2) If you click on the camera icon you can upload images to be searched on. The first and second listings are shown at this site, hope this may help?!

p.s. translate.google.com is your friend, too.

I have this one and bought it from the same seller a few years ago. The cards are on thin but whippy cardstock which has held out well over time; my deck is still in excellent condition. (Having said that, I don't ever riffle shuffle which might make a difference). As a deck it is quite "bendy" and I am careful to store it flat but as I say, it is still in great condition. It is a warmly inviting deck that I like the look of very much.

Thanks everyone, this is very helpful. I'll have to search for more common images on other websites to see if I can find more information, but from what I can tell so far, these images look really interesting.

If anyone who has either of these decks know who the artist is, please let me know.
Cheers!

I don't have these decks, but they also did a round marseilles, and I have that one.

They came in wood boxes at one point, but I'm not sure if they still make that edition. I used to see them around all over the place here, but not lately.. just the normal cardboard ones.

The cardstock on my round one is quite thin, but sturdy. It's pretty glossy, and the edges have chipped a bit.. but I'm a riffle-shuffler and the edges are dark so that's pretty normal. The box is really nice, and it comes with a LWB that has fairly low production quality.

The wood box is stamped "Legitimo Tarot A-G" on the inside, and there's also a sticker saying the same on the outside, with the 'AG' in fancy calligraphy.
I think this is a publisher name, since googling brings up the same rectangular decks as my round one.. but not much other info.

To me they look a lot like the Fournier TdM with borders added. For those who have a copy: Do you think they could be the Fournier images that have been altered slightly to add the borders?
