Can you ask this?

aquanesha

I'm still learning about Tarot and I know that there are some questions that Tarot doesn't work well with.

I was wondering can you ask Tarot, "Which is better for me x or y?"

Thanks in advance

Yes you can.. it works well with a branch spread.. for example..

Option X: ............................. Option Y:
[1]....[2]....[3].......................[1]....[2]....[3]

x:
1 - the situation
2 - the desired result
3 - result if you choose this direction

y:
1 - the situation
2 - the desired result
3 - result if you choose this direction

Using a grouping like Pixie's branch spread, you could also ask "Please describe x and y" and draw your own conclusions regarding them, based upon the general description therein. This means each group would simply be a general description of "x" and "y" instead of asking about outcome.

Perhaps you would know what is better for you if you only knew more about what you were being offered.

The way I would do it is split the question in two. Ask:

a) What will happen if I get/achieve... x?
b) What will happen if I get/achieve...y?

Then compare the two and pick the answer that seems most appealing.
