I suggest sticking with one deck for several months to begin with, as Alta suggests, too. I didn't do that, but that's why I suggest it. Good old hindsight, you know. 
Gilded is a good deck and you should do well with it.
The best tidbit of info I can give you is that there is no "the one" in Tarot decks. If you have trouble reading with the one you've chosen to start with, continue to work with it and don't think another deck is going to speak to you more. It probably won't and you'll have just wasted money, effort and time. The only exception to this would be if you switch to either the Robin Wood or the RWS. Those are really good learning decks.
