Just for future reference, for ink...hair spray, the cheap kind. There's something in the hair spray that chemically breaks down the ink without hurting anything else. I have used this to remove ink from a whole variety of surfaces, even leather. I always make a quick test first to make sure the hair spray won't hurt the fabric/surface but I have never been disappointed.
