Famous Chart Exercise #2

Here's another famous chart!

http://www.odivinorum.com/images/mysterychart03.jpg

There are two parts to the exercise:

- First, post your impressions about what type of person you think this chart represents.

- Second, try to choose from the following list the chart's identity. (btw, please don't post your answer so you don't sway the following posts.)

1) David Beckham - a famous British soccer (or football ;)) star with a tumultuous marriage to "Posh Spice".

2) Angelina Jolie - one of the few leading female actresses in Hollywood, political activist and member of NATO with a troubled past.

3) Naomi Campbell - world famous African model involved in various fundraising projects from UNESCO to breast cancer awareness.

4) Fetish Diva Midori - a self described half German/Japanese "army brat", retired as a professional dominatrix to teach in the bdsm community.

5) Mark Wahlberg - famous Calvin Klein underwear model, now actor in films such as Boogie Nights and I <3 Huckabees.

I'm getting old!!! I'm having difficulty making out some of the detail in the chart - I know posting the natal details is something of a giveaway but is there any chance of a larger version for the optically challenged :)

Cheers Isthmus,

A point in passing

According to Sue Tompkins, Mars / Saturn contacts (wide square) and Mars / Pluto contacts (opposition) are indicators of possible interest in violent sex. This might make Mita a strong candidate but I also have seen some newspaper reports suggesting that Angelina Jolie has some interest in that direction too.

Given Mars in Aries and Saturn in Cancer, then the person is more likely to be submissive rather than dom - which would point much more to Angelina

Mind you being married to Posh Spice - NOT Sporty Spice - might also suggest David Beckham as a possibility on these grounds })

Oops, Minderwiz, thanks for pointing out the spice thing!

Oh, and one last thing to mention - most good dominants were submissives once. Best way to know how your play partner is feeling is to feel it first!

Rather than post a long analysis I'll just give the ball anothr nudge and perhaps others can chime in.

Using Dorian Greenbaum's approach to Temperament, this person is a Phleigmatic with some Choler (Moon Sign and Moon Ruler)and some Sanguinity (Birth Season is Spring) but Ascendant (Cancer), Ascendant Ruler (Moon) , Moon Phase (last quarter) and Ascendant Almuten (Moon again) are all cold and wet - A lot of Phlegm with small doses of the other two.

This suggests someone who is a home lover, likes being alone, tends to be lethargic and puts things off rather than acts. The dose of Choler suggests that if necessary they can and do act - They can have lazy days but also very productive days and can defend themselves if necessary, though they are slow to get aroused. The Sanguinity probably means that they can seem sufficiently sociable on the surface and can have more of an exterior life than the true Phlegmatic. The phlegmatic character will predominate though, even if behind doors. This is not an exhibitionist or someone who goes clubbing late into the night (unless pressed into it by others).

It's a diurnal birth with the Sun in a masculine sign - so strongly placed by Sect and in the terms and face of Jupiter - a more expansive Gemini Sun than normal. Eleventh House is the House of the Good Daemon (Good Spirit) - so a reasonable placement.

The Moon is totally out of Sect being conjunct the MC in Aries - a rather uncomfortable placement, especially for a phlegmatic temperatment. The Moon here might though suggest a career involving work which is open to the public and may have an audience of some form or other.

Venus is out of sect above the horizon but this is not a major problem - Venus is often out of sect in a diurnal chart because it can never be too far from the Sun. If it's a woman then she may play a role which is not quite the traditional feminine one - though being oriental of the Sun she would be still be seen as a feminie model. For a man, take these as indicators of the sort of woman he is attracted to. Interestingly with Venus on the Ascendant and the Moon on the MC, this is a chart dominated by the two symbols of womanhood.

Mars rules the MC - this person can be pushy in terms of career, so that choleric side is likely to show in this area of life. Mars is well out of Sect so this agressiveness in a work environment may not work out to well, especially given Mars essential dignity in Aries - this is someone who might, just might let their phlegmatic side be overwhelmed when it comes to fighting for career.

Jupiter is the most elevated planet and conjunct the MC - it's also in Hayz - diurnally placed in a diucrnal chart in a masculine sign - in fact it could not really be more diurnally placed. This career is likely to be a great success, though essentially Jupiter finds Aries too hot and has little dignity. The accidental dignity and Hayz will make Jupiter a dominant influence here.

Mercury is under the beams but not combust - though it is retrograde. The mind and intelligence (high with Mercury in Gemini) is likely not to be obvious and this person, if female, may be taken as a 'dumb blonde' (or brunette) when there is real intelligence lurking underneath. If it's a man then he is likely to be good looking but taken as something as a bit dense. There's a joke about David Beckham sitting in the hairdressers and wearing some headphones. The hairdresser says, 'would you mind taking those off' and Beckham reluctantly does so. The hairdresser hears the tape being played ' 'Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in , Breath out......'

The point is that Beckham himself told this joke - nowhere near as stupid as he looks.

OK that's my bit for the moment

Wow, thanks for your thoughts Minderwiz. I realize now that I've picked ppl w/very similar traits and themes in their lives.... Next time, I'll try to make the choices more different!!!

My initial thoughts when I saw this chart:

- no earth, in fact, no angles in earth either. No fixed signs either unless you count DC! Coupled w/the high fire, this presents a very dynamic, active personality, strong risk taker, esp w/the strong cardinal energy and Uran in exact square to Venus/ASC. Cancer ASC does hold back some however, but not in the practical, conservative manner of the earth signs.

- ruler of the chart in Aries, 9th, conjunct Jupiter, MC and Mars. High energy, aggressive, more risk taking, possibly sportive. Needs to explore and lead. Trine to Neptune, sextile to sun. This person gets what they want, not through sheer force, but through magnetism or charm. May run up against walls though when it comes to authority, esp male figures (Pluto and Saturn).

- Venus exact conj ASC, Jupiter conj MC. The benifics are totally emphasized here. I purposely picked attractive ppl b/c of the Venus conj ASC actually.

- Saturn in 12th. From what I've seen, this is an unfortunate placement that tends to blindside ppl. Exact square to the MC, as well as Jupiter/moon means that this person could fall hard from their fiery leaps when least expected.

Overall, not a stable person!!

owners of soft porn magazines, bdsm doms, actresses that may have interests in that direction..... I'm beginning to be a bit worried about you Isthmus :)

I don't see quite the dynamic person that you do though in any dynamism will be expressed through the career and public persona, so it's difficult to assess who's right there.

The chart ruler is in Aries, but it's the Moon. The Moon is not a dynamic, high action planet - quite the reverse, so it's not a comfortable position and with Mars on her shoulder raring to go, it's even more uncomfortable. In fact the Moon is beseiged by (sandwiched between) Mars and Jupiter. It's like being out with two friends, one of who wants to do as mush as possible as quickly as possible and not care about the consequences, and the other who wants to try and set new records for a great night out. The trouble is the Moon only wants to have a quiet and peaceful time of it at home. Unfortuately being in the middle she can't get out of it. So rather reluctantly she will have to make the best of it and get stuck in to the fun.

The Moon is essentially a cold and wet planet, certainly the wettest of the planets. Cancer is a cold and wet sign and Venus is also modestly cold and wet - all of these are modern water placements. Jupiter, whilst moderately hot is also moderately moist, so there's a little dampening of the MC. I'm quite sure though that this person (for the moment I won't disclose who it is, in case anyone else wants to make a comment) will fight tooth and nail for career, but maybe not much else.

I tend to leave the outer planets out of an element analysis, simply because they are in their signs for so long that everyone else born over a 5 to 10 year period is likely to have a very similar profile on these three. What we are looking for is what separates or to use a horrible psychological term, individuates the person whose chart we are examining. By all means use them in the description of the chart - they add colour but they aren't defining characteristics or at lease only exceptionally are they, when it comes to personality. (through affliction of key planets).

Perhaps we should invite the person round for a chat and see how our psychological profiling works out.

lol, I probably shouldn't mention that I too have Saturn/Mars and Pluto/Mars contacts. And Pluto/Saturn in the 8th house!!

You are probably right, Minderwiz - unlike the Hugh Hefner chart, I knew who this person was when I saw the chart so that really skewed my interpretation :D In any case, I think all the people on the list are pretty dynamic personalities in the media........... yes, I do believe I'll put more variation in there next time!

ok, I am going to hold my breath and jump in....

with this hint, I am going to say it's Angelina, as she seems to fit this personality the best. The unstable comment made me really think it was her, and the troubles with male authority. The elevated jupiter, in Aries, seems to me more like Angelina than Beckham. Though, I really don't know
anything about Beckham, other than the fact that he plays soccer, and there was a movie named after him, and he is cute.

The risk taking aspect of Aries, also sounds more like Angelina too. The BDSM lady sounds too domineering to be this person, who may enjoy the being slapped aspect of BDSM more than the slapping. I thought I saw that the Venus is also in the 12th house, which, made me think Midori and Jolie....so, hmmm.

I am still going with Angelina.
